8th Ed. ETC 2.4 points against Dwarves

Hi,

This is my first post here and I hope you guys can give a a hand with this. I’ll play an ETC game against Dwarves and was wondering about a list without magic. What do you guys think about it?

1 x Oldblood on Carnosaur – Gen, GW, Armour of Destiny and Dawnstone – 442 pts

2 x 24 SW – Spears, Mus, Banner – 306 pts each

2 x 10 Chamaleon Skinks – 120 pts each

1 x 3 Salamander with 12 Handles – 240 pts

1 x 20 Temple Guard – FC – 355 pts

1 x Stegadon – 235 pts

1 x Ancient Stegadon – 275 pts

Total – 2399 pts.

Temple guard are a bit expensive if you do not have a slann. Aside from a banner for the unit, you would probably come out better taking more saurus and maybe some skinks (cohorts or skirmishers). Also, I would worry about the dwarven cannons taking out the oldblood before you can reach them. To stop this, you may want to take another unit of chameleons or some Terradons. The stegadon will draw some fire, but I think the dwarven player will target the oldblood to knock out the general.

Another note is that you should at least take a scar-vet and make him BSB. Having a BSB is almost a must in 8th edition (and it is worth it just for the re-roll).
