8th Ed. Escalation Week 2 - 300 Points

New week and a new army list required for a 300 point game.
Last week at 200 points the top 4 places were Goblins and Skaven (2 huge blocks of cheap units), Daemons and Warriors of Chaos (smaller elite blocks).

I played 10 saurus 6 cohorts 6 skirmisher (min unit size is 3) - (did alright 2 wins 1 loss)

This week I need a list for 300 points and what are your thoughts on using a salamander at this point level.

List 1:
12 saurus + Champ + Std (4x3 block)
1 Salamander
9 Skink Skirmishers w/ Blowpipes (group of 5 group of 4)
or
5 Chamo Skinks
=299

List 2:
10 Saurus + Champ
10 Saurus
13 Cohort (might get lucky and disrupt ranks on a flank)

Any other list suggestions works too
The only requirement is 1 block of 10. saurus + champ to be my general.

As much as I would like to see chameleons and sallies in a 300 pt game, your second list is the better one.

I think your probably Arli. My lists got tweaked to (should add up to approx 300 pts each)
List 1:
1 Salamander
17 Saurus + Champ
3 Skinks with Blowpipes

List 2:
23 Saurus + Champ
6 Skinks with Blowpipes

I agree the second list is probably more solid but I think I'm gonna have more fun with the sally so I'll run that one unless its getting wasted and then swtich (four games tonite)

I'll let you know how it worked out.
