Well then
My army is slowly taking shape at long last. A block of saurus, three units of skinks, a slaan, a stegadon, a oldblood on carno, some chiefs and a block of TG. Whatever.
Looking over the things I plan to buy in the future (pretty much three packs of everything not mentiond above, excluding CoC. I'll settle for one of those.), I came up with the diea of getting myself a second stegadon with eotg. Partly because I'v heard it can be quite hitty, but mostly because I adore the new stegadon model. Atleast past the part where I think about the near 40 hours my current steg took to paint.
I digress.
Firstly: I might be quacking now, not to good on the 8th rules. But am I right in thinking that instead of a set restriction of units, you must/can only spent x% of points in your army on this and that? If so, does the eotg stegadon count as being part of the hero deparment, or the rare unit one. Want this cleared out since I really want those rare points for my salamanders and razordons. So is it classified as a monstrous mount for the priest, and therefor part of his value, or does it have a seperate value as a rare?
Secondly: Would you actually bother fielding a eotg at this stage in the game, or is it a waste of points. Also, how would you use it if you fielded it? I was thinking of using it in conjunction with a saurus unit on one flank, buffing it with ward saves while moving, and adding the burning alignment once it got in combat, along with the stegadons natural CC prowess. All the time staying within 24 of the Slaan for spell mirroring.
Thirdly: Is it worth making the skink priest riding this thing a 2nd lvl wizard? Thus making him a 3rd lvl wizard for the purpose of generating power/dispell dice (according to eotg rules).
Cheers!
