had a little idea today about a dual slann build. I haven't sat down with books yet to see if I can manage it but its looking like
slann 1 lore of light
extra dice
plaque that gives an extra spell
slann 2 lore of death
immune to non magic
all magic
cupped hands
now these 2 can be refined when I sit to number crunch the points out but my idea is to send the deathslann out to the flanks and try to black sun as many troop blocks in 1 go. Throw all 6 dice hoping for a miscast so i can pawn it off on my opponents main wizard. Hopefully the BS will go for it and kill quite a bit of troops in this big block era generating a fair amount of additional power dice. Those dice can then be used to speed up all my other blocks for an epic close combat phase.
I saw a VC player try this out this weekend and generated 10 dice and miscast messing up his caster but like all VC players he had a million wizards left. So basics are get big damage spell off, with a lvl 4 casting I'm fairly certain it'll go off. If i miscast, hope to bomb his wizard. If not he'll waste all his dice in a dispell roll and hopefully fail as my opponent should have less dice in todays games and maybe lacking a higher lvl wizard. I kill a ton of dudes, possibly kill his wizard, hopefully get more dice back than what i put in and then beef up my warriors.
Tell me what you think. I'm still fairly new to WHF and even newer to lizards so if this has been done or whatever let me know.
