Hey all,
A few months ago I posted my WIP Mazdamundi and Zlaaq build - I've done some work since and thought this would be a nice place to document progress on the project until it is completed. (A bit of background) I've been a painter off an on now for most of the past fourteen years and breifly worked as a comission painter from 2011-14. Right now I mostly paint for fun and have always really appreciated GW's Lizardmen range, my first miniature back in 2004 was the old chunky stegadon.
I started this mini with a pretty exhaustive leg extension for Zlaaq, while I really love the current stegadon model, I hate its pose. Because this is supposed to be one big steg I also extended the headcrest out by layering part of plastic alternative on top of the smaller crest.
C&C is always welcome, I'm hoping to do a lot of expirmenting with this mini including free-hand scales at some point.
Over the past few days I've mostly been working on the display base. The ceramic part is an old Cacti stand.
More to come soon,
