Hey there, I play against Skaven a lot, and I was wondering:

The Dreaded 13th spell (remove 4D6 casualties no saves) can only be cast on infantry units. If I put a Scar Vet on a cold one into my unit of Temple Guard, is the whole unit then untargettable by the 13th?

He wouldn't get a look out sir, but losing 14 TG per magic phase would really suck.

Cheers!

EDIT: Nevermind, it's actually in the Skaven FAQ:

Q: Can I target a unit with The Curse of the Horned Rat comprised of infantry and non-infantry models? (p79)
A: No, unless all of the non-infantry models are characters. Such units are unique units and as such cannot be targeted by The Curse of the Horned Rat. Note that adding a character to a unit of a different troop type will not make that unit unique, it’s troop type will be unchanged.

If you run cohorts as your only guys on foot, he can't target anyone.

Of course, masses of T2 guys have a whole different issue (plague).

Are you referring to cohorts with Krox?

I also play against skaven a lot. As nasty as 13th is, they have so many other powerful spells avoiding 13th ends up not even being half the battle lol.

Last game I lost my slann to a well placed cracks call. My fault, but dropped him just like that. Damn skaven. Although one of the coolest looking armies on the battlefield IMO.

Yeah, Skaven magic is absolutely brutal... Look up Scorch and compare it to Firestorm from the Lore of Fire! Just lol =)

warp lightning is brutal too.

my brother blasts the crap out of me with that.
