The big one with the number glyphs! To represent +1, or just the number of the spell that was cast.

Still, I've got multiple colours of "normal" dice in my order that also work.

Do you mean the one I call the wound marker? Or the D3?

I've ordered:

spawning of Bob - Wound Marker - scarab scarlet w/gold - 4
spawning of Bob - Wound Marker - scarab Royal Blue w/gold w/gold - 4
spawning of Bob - D3 - Scarab Blue Blood w/gold-3

Your equivalents are:

Well...... Terrible news you guys. After I've already submitted the payment for these dice and we've been waiting for a bit, I have recently been informed that we are only allowed to have 5 different colors per dice per order. I'm pretty upset that this wasn't caught earlier on in the ordering process. I believe there was a lack of communication on the Chessex side of things, not sure. That or they didn't read my emails fully. Infuriating really. Kinda think I'm getting that Dark Elf special ability... ETERNAL HATRED. Especially since I was planning on doing a limited color selection initially. Ugh. If Skinks had hair I'd be pulling mine out. :shifty:

So..... yah. I have a couple proposal solutions for this.

1) I will chop the dice color options to the 5 most popular for each die style and send out PMs again.

OR

2) We'll go back to the color voting thread and narrow down 5 colors for each die size.

We could go ahead and keep all the colors, but every 5 colors starts off a new order. The resulting price increase is horrendous. Chessex has told me that they will refund money. If anyone has a problem with the color options it will not be an issue to get you your payment back.

Let me know what you guys think. I would like to get this resolved over the weekend so we can get back on track.

Ahh, that stinks. The Lizardmen will not soon forget this slight...



In my opinion, the expedient thing would be to option 1--allow the most popular dice to be made and then have the outliers modify their orders.

Neither option is great, and some people are bound to be upset either way, but option 1 seems to be best.

Go with the most popular colors and have the others pick. This eliminates a HEAP of hassle and will keep this from taking another 8 weeks while people decide on colors again.

Option 1 seems the best.

Starting polls and deciding on colours is what we all have already done when we ordered. I'm happy with the colors I ordered, so I don't need another poll slowing this down.
If my order is affected, that's too bad, but after a night of crying over my painting station, I can move on. ;)

Chessex really dropped the ball on that one though...

Yah, I think that is the easiest solution too. The good thing though, in looking at the order, the majority of the dice are in 5 colors or so. Still going to break a few hearts.

Just remember, these dice are still awesome!! They aren't any others like them in the whole world!! I really hope everyone is ok compromising on the colors. I'm going to have to as well since most of my options are at the bottom of the list.

And if we take out too many dice it might change the order cost. Let's hope that doesn't happen.

ugh.. that's disappointing. Nothing to do though. Option one appears to be the easiest one.

Some people will be upset, but it's not your fault and we're all waiting for our dice. Waiting even longer due to another round of vote doesn't seem optimal in terms of waiting time.

Unfortunately this'll probably take time anyway since I don't expect everybody to respond fast :P

Oh well.. :)

Option 1 sounds much better than 2.

Will dice that are not the chosen 5 colors be dropped or changed to one of the 5 chosen colors? From your last sentance it almost sounds like the former. If it is the latter, it could only make the price per color go down, right?

My plan was to drop the all the colors that are not the 5 most popular. I will not be removing dice, just changing the colors. You will still get the quantity of dice you requested. Make sense?

If people are wanting refunds due to the lack of color options, this will effect the amount of dice ordered and possibly affect the price. Something I hope doesn't happen.

I'll update the OP tonight when I get a chance to sort everything out. Everyone should be watching for PMs from me over the next few days.

Option 1 has my vote, so to speak.
Could you list the 5 most popular colours when you get a chance and I'll just edit my colour preference for what I've ordered.
I want the sweet 6's, the colour was never really an issue for me.

In reviewing my emails it I see that I am partly at fault for this error too. There are several emails where I strongly inferred that we would have lots and lots of color options, but I never blatantly said exactly how many until I submitted the order. I can see if they were just scanning my messages that the could have missed those parts. My apologies to everyone on that. I recall pointing out in another post that they tended to skim my messages and not answer all my questions. Still, knowing immediately would have been nice.

Geez, this sucks. I agree that option 1 is the fairest/easiest thing to do. Kinda bummed that 4 of the top 5 Death Mask colors are greenish blue, though.

So you are going to PM everyone about their order or are we going to edit our order in this thread?

I think Option one is the fairest based upon the time already spent.


That being said if it is a large problem for many people. I won't be upset about reopening discussion as long as we have a very finite time frame for it.
