Gotta halt a northern invasion tonight. I'm pretty sure he'll run magic light, with dual Hydra and a Dreadlord on Black Dragon, while for my part I want to go Carnosaur (didn't buy that sweet model for nothing!), so this is the list I banged together:
---
Lords (482 – max 600)

Exalted Fuq-hyu – Oldblood
Piranha Blade, Sacred Stegadon Helm, Dragonbane Gem, Shield, Carnosaur w/Loping Stride
He won't be taking war machines, but he will field a lot of multi-wound models! Hoping to crush face with D3 D3's :)
---
Heroes (425 – max 600)

Revered Kek-kek – Scar-Veteran
Battle Standard, Enchanted Shield, Dawnstone, Great Weapon, Light Armour, Cold One
Cold One is largely for armour; he hangs with the Temple Guard.

Tefuk the Clever – Skink Priest
Lvl. 2, Lore of Beasts, Cloak of Feathers

Tehek the Smart – Skink Priest
Lvl. 2, Lore of Beasts, Earthing Rod
Clever and Smart here are for Beast Spam. Crossing my fingers for Anraheir and Savage Beast!
---
Core units (684 – min 600)

Saurus Regiment – 24 Saurus Warriors
Spears, Shields, Full Command

Skink Cohort – 28 Skinks with 2 Kroxigor
Javelins, Shields, Poisoned Attacks, Musician
Should I squeeze in more Kroxigor? More there for steadfast than hitting power, really, 6 wide is 6 ranks, 5 is 7 ...

Skink Skirmisher Patrol – 12 Skink Skirmishers
Javelins, Shields
---
Special units (403 points – max 1200)

Temple Guard Regiment – 22 Saurus Temple Guard
Halberds, Light armour, Shields, Full Command – Razor Standard, Sword of Battle
Cowboy Kek-kek goes here. SoB gives Revered Guardian 4 attacks, magical.
---
Rare units (410 points – max 600)

Mighty Kolah-korq – Ancient Stegadon
Sharpened Horns
Because why not? These guys never disappoint. Useful against multiwounds!

Flaming Bastards – 2 Salamander Hunting Packs
To counter Hydra regeneration.
---
Total: 2400

Sooo. Any don'ts that I did?

I like old blood, light armor, shield, and blade of realities. Mounted on Carnisaur, you've got a 1+ armor. You've got a good chance at downing his general without giving him a save of any type.

Try and keep a Bastiladon near the carnisaur, boosting his init to 3 lets him swing at the same time as the dragon, which is critical.

So, yeah. Crushing defeat.

He brought a Dragonlord, two Hydras, two fifty strong units of Warriors, three masters on Pegasus, two six-man Shade units, and five Harpies. NO magic or magic defense.

Highlights for me include: D6-ing one Hydra with Amber Spear, killing fourteen Warriors with one spout of flames from one Salamander, and destroying what remained with the Stegadon alone (who didn't die until the last round, when I charged his Dragonlord for the lulz), plus eradicating the other Warrior unit with my Saurus.

Highlights for him include: his Shades shooting the Carnosaur out from under Fuq-hyu in turn two, the other Hydra Thunderstomping and Breath-weaponing the Skrox below any fighting strength, and the Dragonlord eating the Temple Guard before breaking my Oldblood in the last round of combat (who his Pegasus/Pendant BSB gratiously held up for him).

At the end of the game only my Saurus Regiment remained.

It was a blast! :D

PS! Pendant-wearers simply DO NOT DIE. Maybe the Blade of Realities would be a good idea ... if only it wasn't so overcosted (and worked against Regeneration)!

Can I just say that I absolutely love the names you came up with for your characters? Gave me a good laugh! xD
