Since The new storm of magic is releasing monsters, I got thinking. I know that everybody is hoping for the thunder lizard, but what about the Coatl? They're pretty damn big and they are extremely powerful mages. Personally, I'm hoping that we get them instead/as wel. What do you guys think? Is it likely, and would you like it?l
 
I would prefer a Coatl to a Thunder Lizard, but seeing the Toad Dragon from Forgeworld, I wouldn't mind seeing them do a Thunder Lizard some time too.
 
I too would rather see the coatl than some baby version of a thunder lizard. It would probably be a lord choice ridden by a new level 3 skink preist.

Thats what I want to see.

Agreed. Besides, I see more potential in a Coatl then a thunderlizard.

I'm not saying it would in any way be worse, I just think the coatl seems a bit more intresting
 
another monster is the serpent-like flying monster in the 5th page (i think) in upper right corner. some texts in the book mention it (it is related to sotek if a im not mistaken)

Actually, that would be the Coatl.
 
well im the odd one :) i would like the coatl, why? because we have enought magic as it is now, i sertenly dont need any more mages. what i like is the total point revamp on our units, especialy monsters!!
 
Well im glad to see that you all want it as badly as I do :D maybe it will happen afterall. Glad to here your input on it! I like the idea about the mount of a level 3 skink priest :)
 
Heh, my profile pic is quezecoatl! Would definitely love to see a coatl come into play, you could always give it some kind of very unique magical powers a bit like the engine of the gods.
 
As well as the coatl, I'd quite like to see a Zlaaq model, Mazamundi too its a little off topic yes but still pretty awsome
 
That would be amazing! Also if we get a model for Mazamundi (With Zlaaq ofc), Gor-Rok and Tetto'ekko, + some big Fck of monster then we got something cooking.

(Prioratice Big monster, Nakai and Mazamundi though. The others can wait but would still be nice to see models for them)
 
well tetto and gor rok is easy to convert so they could spend some time on other things :)
ofcourse if they would do those chars and fixed theyre point cost, then its a diferent thing ;)
 
I can almost guarantee you there won't be a Nakai model, simply because he's not in the Army Book. In fact, I don't think he's even mentioned...
And I woudn't hold my breath for a Mazdamundi/Zlaaq model either. It just seems like something that won't happen, and even if it does, it'll never sell because nobody takes Mazdamundi. If they do do any new character models for us, I'd say Tetto'eko is the most probable.
What I would like to see is some new bitz packs. I would really like to see a set that comes with some Great Weapons and some really fancy weapons that we could use as Magical Weapons.

I googled coatl when I started reading the thread, otherwise I would have said exactly the same thing.

Anyway I nice coatl model would look really impressive and unless GW end up giving it horrible rules it would probably sell quite well.
 
I'm not a real fan of Slaan's or skink priests (Not that they are bad, which they aren't!) and since I always liked the image of a flying snake monster in my Lizardmen army... More so than a Thunder lizard.
I'd like a Coatl. Actually, make that love a Coatl.
 
I'd really like to see one as well, but I have a feeling we wont get anything.

I'm not saying we wont be able to use anything from the new expansion, just that I think the releases will be general things usable by multiple armies, and not specific monsters for say, lizardmen or skaven or whatnot.

The more generic GW can make it, the better it will sell.
 
just imagine what hell of a model would a coatl be! a large winged serpent on a flying base? I'd love to see that! i really wish GW makes something for lizardmen

but I doubt it'd be chars, you can convert each one of them, even mazdamundi or tetto'eko
 
If they give us a Nakai model, I want him to be like twice the size of a regular Kroxigor. And you can count on Nakai being in the new army book, whenever we get it, because they've been giving us more of them in both 40K and Fantasy.

And I suppose a Coatl would be pretty cool. But I'd still rather have a big monster like the Thunder Lizard.

But even then, the big monsters are something on the side, what I'm really interested in are the Cataclysmic Spells. I really hope the Slann are just disgusting with them, since they are some of the most powerful users of magic there are. They should be able to level cities by calling down rains of fire from the sky, open up the ground beneath armies and have them swallowed by the earth. Make every plant and animal on the battlefield out for the blood of those who defy the will of the Old Ones.

Maybe on a Valkyrie flying base and on a scale to match.
