7th Ed. Chameleons are Boss!!!

So for my first game ever against Warriors of Chaos, i took 12 Chameleons Skinks, and they ended up killing 6 marauder horsemen, 8 Warriors with shields, and Kholek Suneater! wow i love Lizardmen.

you killed a character with 8 wounds and T6 AND a 2+ armour save?

and this was not when you were shooting other stuff?


Dont want to dampen your achievement here, but are you sure this was played right?

your hitting kholek on 3's at short range, without moving.

12 chameleons = 24 shots.

6 turns = 144 shots.

hitting on 3+ = 95 hits (15 poison)

13 other wounds = 28 total wounds.

28 wounds = 4.6* that get past the 2+ armour save.

I know this is working on averages, and that dice are fickle, but this is also assuming all the skinks were always shooting him at short range without moving, which isnt true by the fact you killed a bunch of other chaos troops.

Again, I dont want to detract from your achievement, im glad someone is getting good use from the chamelons, I think they are very underrated.

I'm glad someone got the chameleons to do their job. I used 2 units of 5 today and killed maybe 2 models (beastmen) with them. And I lost the battle to boot!

The dice were not good to me today (I'm thinking that is where the dice gods took my dice skills). The only rolls I could make were leadership rolls (go Cold Blooded).

Well, he didn't say that all eight wounds were caused by the skinks, only that they killed him. I'm thinking he had to be hurt from an earlier fight. Also, at short range without moving they would hit on 2s; BS 4 and +1 large target.

Be that as it may, it's quite an achievement against a 2+ armor save.

Well the Marauders charge me, i stand and shot them to death, the 8 warriors was in one turn of lucky rolling, than Kholek was targeted by rule of burning iron from my slann with bane head, so he was at 6 wounds when i started to shoot at him, and he had pretty bad rolling. Also, why are you guys saying its 2+ ups to hit, in our game, it was 4BS so 3+ ups, than long range, than multiple shots, so it was 5 ups, not two ups.

you get +1 for Kholek being a large target so its 2+

With multiple shots the best you can hope for is 3+ if you don't move and are already 6 inches away from him. This is highly unlikely...

i feel the pain of the chaos on this one.

i almost gave up using terminators in 40k purely because i pass less 2+ saves than 3+. :<

tbh assuming they survived the battle, taking out 6 marauders and 8 warriors is pretty good in itself!
