8th Ed. Carnosaur Rider Model

Hey, this is my first time posting here. I just have a question about the Carnosaur model that GW sell. This is probably a stupid question but I just want to be sure; is it possible to build the rider separate from the Carnosaur, and have it so that you can place him back on the Carnosaur after it is fully built? I want to be able to have the rider pinned to an infantry base and the Carnosaur, and switch between the two when I want to change things up.

Thanks for the response! Yeah magnets are probably better, I may well use them.
