So I was admiring the new forums for god knows how long until I noticed this.
The lizard on the banner thing has a severed tail.

That's how I see it as well. The lizard is on the stone with its tail drooping down the opposite side before curling back up.

Though when you explain it as a severed tail I can see what you mean. Maybe it's like the old woman/young lady picture.
