AoS Building my list and summoning

So i have the app and most of the books, all required to build my seraphon army.

My question is, once i have my 2000 point list and its valid, if i field the whole thing, A fang of sotek battalion per say, I cant summon any units because my point limit is reached?

or do i gather CP like normal and can summon units from the conjuration list for their cost as well? or do i have to not field units from my battalion and those are the units i can summon? im having a hard time figuring that out if anyone could ellaborate or help me i would appreciate it alot
 
The only cost for summoning is CP, so you can summon away and eventually have 3000 points worth of models in a 2000 point game.
 
So again if i have a sunclaw and firelance in a fang of sotek and my point max was reached , i could summon in as many additional units as long as i have the CP available? example i could summon an eternity warden and some guard they just wouldnt be an eternal starhost?
