Whenever I try to build a stegadon the howdah won't properly fit into the lil holes for the life of me. Anyone have any idea what I might be doing wrong? The end result doesn't look awefull as long as you don't look too close but it annoys me.

Hmmmm I only built one Stegadon but the Howdah of that one snapped in perfectly as soon as I applied a bit of pressure.
Hard to tell...

The first stegadon I put together I ruined the front lower section of thehowdah. Be careful because there is a front and back to that section. If you glue it backwards it will never set right. If I remember correctly the shields on the side peices are closer to the back.

That doesn't appear to be the problem, shields are in the right place when compared to the pictures on the GW site. There's also no spikes or anything that I can see blocking it. It just doesn't want to fit neatly in the holes :S

You have to push and twist and it should click into place if it’s assembled correctly, they are a bit tricky, I ended up glueing mine in place.

I can push all I want, the front bit of the howdah refuses to be in all 4 slots at once :(

Can you post a few pictures from various angles with the Howdah almost in position?

As you can see they're just slightly off, and completly stuck. Also, at this point i have given up and resigned to my fate as it doesn't look terrible. But it just annoys me that it keeps happening.

Still looks good, but yeah, I get ya man, pieces not properly fitting like they're supposed to make me rage beyond imagination!

Especially when you consider that those models aren't exactly cheap... :meh:

By the way I had the exact same problem, I just pushed it to the point that it "broke" a bit in the inside and became less sturdy..

A bit risky... though for bigger stuff like the howdah it might be saver... also it's plastic so more forgiving than resin... so give it a try... but carefully!

Another idea would be to snip off the bottom end and glue it to the steggy... the green stuff the part between the stump and the howdah...

Also for the price of the model I'd expect it to fit exactly... maybe take it to the store and show someone... or email GW and complain about it... maybe you get an star priest for free or something...;)

Well free aside, I was mad indeed. I love GW and pay for it. This is indeed something I am not willing to forget :p

The end result doesn't look too awefull so I'l leave it be for now. Though if this does keep on happening I'm going to contact GW to figure out what the hell the issue is.
