AoS Bravery for heroes?

Hey peeps!

I have a question (and sorry if it's already been addressed): When do heroes use bravery? They're single-model units, and you only do battleshock tests if a unit lost models that turn. Ergo, heroes don't take battleshock tests (b/c they're dead). Thus, they don't need bravery.

I've only played a few games of AoS, so I may just be ignorant. Is there some situation out there where a hero's bravery matters?

Oh, this is an easy one...

They don't use it at all.
(might be some out side effects that use this stat though)

There are several "fear" related spells in the Chaos and Vampire counts warscrolls that compare a dice roll to the targets Bravery

I've only played against a small band of skaven and a nu-chaos guy who didn't really seem to know what he was doing. Good to know there's more scary stuff out there.

Theres also some rules which use a Heroes bravery instead of an individual units, such as the Wood elf guy (Araloth?) whose command ability allows all "Wanderers" to use his bravery instead of their own.

If you can modify Lord Kroak's bravery, it makes him harder/easier to kill.

The Vampire Counts’ Terrorgheist for example rolls a number of dice (1-3 depending on wounds received) and adds them together. If the total is higher than your bravery, you suffer the difference in mortal wounds. Not much of a problem against Lizards but other army heroes only have bravery 6 or 7. That could mean bad news for that player!
