Hi Darren, thanks for sharing was a great read.

What was the ruling on placing the Toad for the rippers in the tournament?
I was under the assumption that you only got it if they were on the board at the 1st hero phase. I heard some people say if they are in shadowstrike they can place in first hero phase or when they come on the board (depends on who I ask). Just wondering if you heard anything from a more official source than Reddit :-)

There's nothing official or rather specific about how you deploy the toad. A vague answer to an unrelated question in a gw faq has been interpreted here in the UK to mean because the Shadowstrike Rippers aren' on the board if they are deployd in the clouds, they can'trust deploy their toad in the 1st hero phase when it must be placed.

I get round this by either deploying a second unit on the board at the beginning and use their toad or summon a unit in the first hero phase and deploy that one.

I would contact any TO if you were about to attend a tournament and see what their interpretation is, as it may differ.

Bloody annoying as it's looks very much like RAW over RAI..

Hopefully if enough people point this out, gw will give us clarity one way or another!

That is so great to hear! I'd love to see more Seraphon represented at tournaments. Make writing these feel worthwhile! Good luck! Let me know how you get on?!

Proud of you for letting him go back, that’s what a Seraphon player feels like :cool:

I hope he went home thinking how he was favored in such a HUGE manner while he didn’t give even a bit back and STILL LOST. ;)

Being a gentleman is definitely the right way to go, just treat him differently the next time you meet.

Greatly done lad, you inspire me as a general.
