I love listening to Oasis while painting, too!
The "Dig Out Your Soul" album especially inspires me, for some reason.

I'm gonna be honest. I haven't heard of any of them.

What???
Really?

I can (barely) understand that you don't know The Clash, Dead Kennedys, or Oasis, even the Red Hot Chili Peppers, but... Elvis? Elvis Presley? The King of Rock and Roll?
How can you not know him? Where are you from?

Under paricks rock. Or the dark side of the moon, take your pick

Huh, how did I miss this thread?

Letsee, i'm more into Prog-ish music. So my top bands/artists would be:

Jethro Tull
Genesis (Peter Gabriel era)
Gryphon
Horslips
Renaissance
10cc
Emerson, Lake, and Palmer
Judge Dread

Even if you don't know it as Oasis, you must recognise this?
If he is too young to have lived in the 90s and/or not from Europe he might have missed it indeed.
(Overplayed song anyway. Oasis has much better songs IMO).

For me, as a dedicated Manowarrior I am obligated to say ManOWar I listen to them while putting together chain mail.

But from my top bands? I got Blind Guardian, Moonspell, Ghost, Judas Priest, Sonata Arctica

Basically if its onmy battle vest, I recommend it

And I thought I knew little about music...

Even I’ve heard of the Red Hot Chilli Peppers and Oasis, I’ve listened to some Elvis songs and I’m quite the Dean Martin fan.

Listen to some different artists, man! Get some experience of the wider world of culture!

Just found the thread and thought I'd share, even though the general musical taste of the thread seems a bit different to mine.

I think when I listen to music it's more about the whole than specifics. So in many cases it does not matter so much what the lyrics are as long as the instrumental part sounds nice. It can be the other way around too. Anyone else feel that way or what is your preferences?

I will just give a couple of songs I find me listening to relatively frequently. Beware though, I get a bit carried away and can never decide what to share, so I tend to just spam it:
