Hello everyone!
Today I want to know your opinion due to a "problem" I found out related to Dealis Lord Kroak model. As many of you said, the file was in Telegram and other forums, but the problem is the following:
Yesterday I found in Spain in App Wallapop someone who sells the model already 3d printed (see photo attached). I dont know if the price fits with the printing cost or it has a clear aim of making money.
If most of you agree on the 2nd option i will try to talk to this person and Dealis in case he want to take further actions.
Sorry for this topic.
Yes, I think they should let he know. At least so that he are aware, if the creator does not give the green light to the commercialization of his file, it is illegal for anyone else outside of him to put it up for sale, and even has no ethics or morals.
What protects the owner is the intellectual property law: CREATIVE COMMONS.
However, I believe that the boy who made the Kroak has not published it in any site that protects his intellectual property before. The files do not have the name of the creator, nor any type of mark in the figure or protect that he did it, within the files they do not have any notepad that specifies the intellectual property of the design (even if it is a reproduction of a figure GW original).
That is, he has practically very little proof or evidence that he is the author, if he wants to bring him to law. The only thing it can show is the videos he shared from youtube.
That is why it is important that if you want to put a foreign design for sale, ask the author if he gives you permission. There are many hours deposited to do a good digital job, and having something like this done to you destroys you morally, and you no longer have or desire to share a design with people again.
