Articles to print in 3D - Lizardmen / Seraphon

I would love that link, it would be very helpful for me and for the community. What I want most, is the model of the Dread saurian of total war. it is the best design ever made, even better than that of forgeworld.

Someone made a 3d model based on the total war model.

His youtube video about it actually inspired me to buy a 3d printer.

Are you going to take these into ZBrush & texture them? I'm eyeing up the DS but if your half way through it I wont bother :)

Currently I am working on the saurus warriors first since that is the more or less the core of the army, I am 90% done and working on the rigging for various poses with both spears and clubs, after that it will be guard since that just cleaning up the armor and weapons and then the knights, after that I am unsure which order I am going in but I plan to get the kroxigors, salamanders, razordons and chameleon skinks done before moving to character and the dread saurian, it will take a but since I am learning all this stuff and I am doing it in my free time.If you want to do the retexture of the dread saurian I'll post the texture skins when I get off work.

If the work is divided, it will be easier to finish everything. Just remember that in order for the details to look good on the prints, they must be well marked.

When you think you have marked enough, then you should highlight it more.

I am working on the design of an Old One.

I'll be learning it too, will be in Blender instead of ZBrush, i'll go get my drawing tablet! You in the Seraphon whatsapp chat?

I've been looking into 3D Printers mostly for the gorgeous Lost Kingdom Models. In my own personal research (about 15 websites ranking top 10 3D Printers for tabletop miniatures) it looks like Elegoo Mars and the AnyCubic Photon S are vying for dominance. Any thoughts yourselves? Also a friend recommend a familiarize myself with Cura and/or Blender? Are these programs required to read .stl format in order to send it to my printer (I'm guessing via USB). I'm not really sure what the purpose of Blender or Cura is. I'm not 3D modeler myself and have no desire to "improve" upon Lost Kingdom's immaculate work.

Dont worry about Cura (slicer) for Resin. Blender is more for making your own sculpts. Fusion 360 is good for making odd utility bits & adjusting things. Otherwise you'll be looking at Chitubox

I've got an Elegoo Mars, Honestly the difference between the two is just the price point & I think the Anycubic comes with Resin, the elegoo doesnt. So by the time you slap on 500g of resin its the same price any way.

If you just want to print LK minis to start, all you'll need is a printer & the slicer software that is recommended for the printer. (Which you can download for free online)

Well maybe not *exclusively* Lost Kingdom Miniatures. Thingiverse has some terrain stuff I can add to basing materials (like plants, rocks, skulls, etc..) and I have bought at least 4 things from HeroForge so I could at this point create my own heroforge things. That said, yeah I guess just a slicer software and the printer. I reckon I'll get the AnyCubic Photon S, some eye protection, box of gloves and some sort of mask.

Ok the dread saurian body texture is up it's a bmp file so you might have to convert that to something else for blender.
