Love, love, love the Troglodon!

Those bases!!!!

And I really like how the color scheme of the Troggy's fins and tongue are mirrored in its rider's helmet.
Very cool.

Thanks for the kind words :D
I'm quite happy with how it turned out myself, now I just gotta find some way to use him; In AOS he seems to be fine now with the point nerf, and my regular opponent have agreed to let me play him for 150 points for fantasy, so he likely won't just be sitting and collecting dust on the shelf.

In general I try to keep to my base colors of the color scheme, which helps with things as unifying the expression I think, just like here with the sail and tongue of the Trog having the same colors as the adornment and rider's helmet.

Here's a small update, with some not quite finished models, but since it will be some time before I can completely finish them, I'll just post pictures of them as they are now:

That's amazing! How as no one commented on this stuff yet!!!!!!!

Loving the blue-grey color scheme. Its like your lizards are wearing Olmec-Blue jade!

Fantastic Dread Saurian proxy. Spot on, that is a project I intend to do at some point.

Thanks for posting! Love the bases too :vulcan:

It's been liked, and that's neat as well :)
But I think part of it is that my blog is not very known in the community, since I don't update it as frequently as I should, and not everyone is interested in paint blogs, and I guess the most fun part is just looking at the pictures, not necessarily commenting, but that's fine as well. Besides I've had a personal question about how I painted some of it, so it's not like it has not been noticed at all :)

Success! The blue jade is part of the inspiration :D

Thanks, I wasn't really feeling the one from forgeworld either in terms of design or what it would do to my wallet, and this model's details are quite nice, and it's certainly big enough.

You thank me for posting? I'll take that as your seal of approval :p

In accordance to how I post (very spontaneously and sporadic) here is an update - wow it's been over a year since I updated this thread.

I've been working along repainting my old miniatures.
In that vain, I've finished some Saurus Warriors. Well finished might be stretching things a bit, since I've not based anything I've made for a long time now, I simply have not wanted to do it as much as just paint and I have not have all the materials anyway.
Either way, here is the saurus:

IMG_20210206_130926.jpg

Along with these guys, I've also repainted some saurus characters (I've gotten to a point where I have so many saurus characters that I can't really use all of them at once - same thing with carnosaurs).

Seems I did not get the image of Got-Rok from the front - guess that will have to wait until he gets based.

My repainting has also encompassed one of my stegadons, and I'm quite pleased with the result, at least regarding the steg itself and the howdah, not so much the skinks on top.

IMG_20210206_131300.jpg

I've also almost finished my skink standard bearer - the almost comes from the fact that he has not been given a coat of matt coat to protect him, and afterwards a glossy one for his equipment.

IMG_20210206_131529.jpg

Same thing is true for my saurus BSB

IMG_20210206_131548.jpg

For a long time I've slowly been working away on my Ripperdactyls, and I'm still not quite done (yes, it's the basing again), but you can see them anyway

For the last tihng, I have finished painting my awesome model from Xlanax_lot. I am very pleased with this one, it might very well be my best painted mini.
Now again, it is not completely finished, it lacks the matt and glossy coats as well as basing.

He really is too big to properly use as a saurus character though, so I'm considering using him as an incarnate elemental of beasts.

Theses models are fantastic mate!

Like @Warden says, the blue grey scheme is really eye-catching. Nice one!

Excellent work! They all look fantastic

Wow :wideyed::wideyed::woot::woot:

Great job on all of those!:artist::artist:
The Stegadon showing a little bit of a different Color to the army ;)

Keep up the good work

Thank you all!

The Stegadon showing a little bit of a different Color to the army ;)

I'm trying not to go too crazy and keep to a couple of colors. I might have used a bit too many actually, but it's not too bad and the red just goes well with the rest of the model.

Really love that Dread Saurian stand in, awesome color scheme on it

I pondered long how I wanted to do it, turned out nicely in the end. There is just one problem that's come up; Not long ago it broke off its base, there just is not enough surface area on the feet properly secure it, so at the moment I'm trying to figure out how I can better secure him.
He also have not been lucky in battle, granted I've only tried him once and he had to go up against one of the most OP units, that being Karl Franz Ascended - it did as well as it sticks to its base.

Pinning or literally screwing him into the base may be the way to go. This picture is from someone showing me how to do exacrly that to a model I'll be building/painting eventually, just right through the base.IMG_20210208_135545_131.jpg

So, I have made quite a bit of progress as of late.
I've painted 30 Saurus Warriors, not worth showing off, since they are basically identical to what I have already done, but I have also put a bit of more work into basing on the Jungle Warden and painted 3 of my Wolf Drake models as well as a Saurus character on Cold One and furthermore a Battle Standard Bearer.
I've begun work on the new Kroak model, so hopefully he will join the ranks before too long.

Beautiful work! I love the colour scheme for the armour/ weapons/ jewellery.
Always nice to see a Woogity Saurus on Cold One painted up, I've been eyeing mine recently and wanting to finally get some paint on it.

Those are incredible looking models, very good paintjob!
