Are you ready for Call of Duty - Black Ops !?

Yeah moving to General Chat..

I didn't really like MW2, so I haven't really paid much attention to Black Ops. I doubt I will play it.
 
all people in my class are adicted to black cobs the only call of duty i like is MW1 XD
 
By now I am seriously fed up with CoD. All the people in my class play it. All the people in my class' friends play it. The people I walk to school with play it. And all they do is talk about it, day in, day out. I seriously can not see what is so good about it.

Even the little Year 7 kids (age 11) are asking me why I don't have it.

That is why I am going to officially state my opinions on it here, on this forum.

I played a few minutes of the previous installments, until the FPP started giving me motion sickness. They seemed fun, and the television spots for this new one look rather spectacular. But...

The poster advertisement showing the soldier drawing a 1911 in each hand bothers me. I don't care how skilled a person is, "dual wielding" firearms is a sure recipe for missing your target, getting shot, and looking silly in the process. I know it's just a game, but CoD seems to try and bill itself as semi realistic, and over the top 'kewl' stuff like that drives me crazy.

By and large, I think the more down to earth they portray the action, the more exciting it ends up being.
 
I've lost my confidence about the cod series after the failure that is called mw2 so I keep playing mw1
 
more people are talking about the new assassins creed here than black ops but they both sound ok i guess oh and you know how you said 11 year olds had it it's an 18? :S
 
I would be talking about the new Assassin's Creed, but unfortunately, Ubisoft delayed the PC release until March next year for absolutely no reason at all. :rage: Very very annoying to me, the only reason I'm not boycotting it now is because the Collector's Edition is just so cool and I have had it on preorder since May.
 
I play League of Legends and Starcraft 2.

What is Black Ops?
I know what it is, silly. I just prefer CoD 1 and 2 as opposed to the MW series.

Yep, it was your account that made the thread. What might have happened based on your subject is that you replied to a bot thread, when I delete bots and their posts it unfortunately leaves the rest of the thread in place. Which is why if you see a bot post, you should just leave it alone and not reply to it. As soon as a mod/admin sees it, we will get rid of it, but we aren't on here 24 hours a day.
 
i've had a lot of fun with the multiplayer, mostly because it really seems to fit with my playstyle (running and gunning with an SMG).

also i usually have a couple of mates online to play with, which always improves a game.
