Contest April-May 2020 Short Story Contest, Entries Closed)

I know we are all likely submitting to the contest, but is there anyone that would be willing to proof read mine? I don't really have anyone in my life that is into Warhammer and feel that someone with knowledge of the universe would be better at it? I don't want to assume so that's why I'm asking :) been working on it for a few days now slowly and could use some fresh eyes

I don't do AOS and that's what the majority of the new posts are on the forum.

I'm not as educated on the canon as others so don't really feel I have anything to add to those threads.

I contribute writing and funny stuff on the "General Chat" threads.

I'll probably just re-read the army book PDFS that I have for all the 8th edition armies and then I'll come up with something else to ask questions about.

Why don’t you have a go at designing your own unofficial faction rules, just for fun? I’m doing that for both Fantasy and AoS, and it’s really enjoyable for me (in fact it’s getting in the way of writing my own short story contest entry :oops:)

If you really want to eat some time up on stories, I have blown the dust off of my first Warhammer lore novel. If you want (or anyone else) wants to volunteer to beta read it, PM me. Tis not for the faint of heart. I am brutal to my beta readers. Sometimes I fear I drove @spawning of Bob away.

But also I have an obnoxiously long bouts of writers block, so he might have gotten tired of waiting for the next installment.

I'm up for it, but first would like to know what it means "brutal to your beta readers"...

Am I to expect a horses head being delivered by FedEx if I don't give a good review?

It's not that I need praise (though I like praise), it's that I tend to send a lot of posts about relatively minor things.
