Hello out to the great beyond!!!
Looks like I'm about to embark on finding allies!!! Appears about 400 of them.
Any suggestions? Decimators are on my got list for the extra bravery drop but at 200 points feels steep. Anyone else figure out which storm cast will be our best friends?

Definitely one of the paladin units for their awesome starsoul maces that give the sweet sweet mortal wounds we lack so much. If you do choose the Decimators, you now obviously have 200 more points. I feel these points would be best spent by getting a Lord-Castellant for 100. The Castellant will be able to buff one of the two units every turn adding 1 to there saves, and letting them heal wounds on a roll of a 7, or he can deal some more mortal wounds to chaos deamons (but thats a bit more situational). Finally, get some good ol' fashioned Liberators for extra bodies, and your last 100 points

where exactly in the book does it say who can be allies and the rules surrounding it, I can't find it anywhere (might just be blind)

In the begining of the MATCHED PLAY section in the General's Handbook 2017 (Sorry, don't currently have the book with me so I don't know the exact page) there's a page where it shows how many points of allies you can take if you're playing with 1000pts, 2000pts or 2500pts.

As for which factions the Seraphon can ally with, it is written under our point cost table. If I'm not mistaken, Stormcast Eternals are our only available allies if we want to keep the Seraphon Allegiance.

Yeah they are. I am a bit sad about it. Not that we need anyone, we are great, but I'd still like to combine with some factions for fun and variety.

Ty, found it.

Also, is there any logic given to these allies? Some fluff explenation or something? At least that might make it more acceptable...

Yes. They are mostly fluff based and when you see them that way they actually make a lot of sense, I think most armies can live with them pretty well. I saw a few exceptions though. Nighthaunt is a bit odd for examples.

And funnily SCE are allies to any order army, good way of getting us all to buy SCE.......

IIRC, Banshees cannot ally with Banshees! :p
(the ones that swarms around the Mortis Engine)

Yeah the Malignant Start Collecting Box cannot be played together in matched play except in a grand alliance army...
