8th Ed. Age Of Sigmar rant

Hey guys, I thought it might be appropriate to post a question here seeing as how the OP was centered around the change of models associated with the move to AoS.

Being a total newcomer to Lizardmen, I don't know what liz minis GW has discontinued with AoS taking over. Is there a list somewhere that compares what was produced during 8th versus what is produced now? Thanks.
 
All of our old stuff is supported one way or another*....
no new AoS models for us yet....

Tehenhauin, skink chief, jungle swarms, and Oxyotl are now in the discontinued section. Still usable, just under the lizardmen heading instead of seraphon.

Just read this little gem:

It actually hurts to read.
 
GW is apparently just like any Game Master at a role-playing session, who has come up with this elite warrior class and found a totally fancy name for them. They just can't let go of the idea, even if the new setting is in a completely different location and style of game :P

GW I totally get you, I had some nefty Ideas when I was 14, too, but you got to move on ;)
 
Once it was Chaos that GW went mental about, now it's the Stormcast. I wait in hope for the day the Seraphon catch someone importants eye, so that we become a huge and respected faction, with troop types coming out our ears and no-one brave enough to face us.

I also kind of dread what the GW writers will do to the fluff, and that eventually the hate will build up until even we are questioning why we bought our stuff. Then they'll move to a new army (hopefully leaving us in a condition we can, with effort, heal from) and we can move on.

GW don't seem to understand that just because they love the Stormcast over eve else, doesn't mean that anyone else will. In fact, it does seem like the more they love something no that's the wrong phrase, obsess over one faction, the more the players hate it.
 
It does however seems like it worked for them with 40K. Maybe that's why they constantly attempt the same strategy for fantasy/Age of SomeOne's.

Sadly I think this is untrue. GW loves nothing more than Space Marines and Space Marines outsell everything else combined. (and this coming from a guy who hates Space Marines)
 
They did swap their space marine statue out with a stormcast though.

Yea, but that's pretty much the same thing though. :D

Stormcast = Fantasy Space Marine

"A Space Marine by any other name will smell just as foul"
