6th Ed. [6th Ed / TOW] A Dark Conspiracy: 30th Anniversary Global Campaign is Live! ⚔️

WEEK 9

  • Global standing: #6 ↔ (stable).
  • W9 performance: #7 ↓ (from #6).
  • W9 return: 1.80 PPG over 5 games.
  • Record: 27/10/15 (+2/+1/+2).
The Great Plan advanced by inches rather than thunderclaps. Lizardmen traded blows with Skaven, checked the undead locally and kept the temple-cities fixed in the upper half of the war.

• [6th Edition – Local] With the battle plan set as The Patrol, Sotek_Awakens’s Lizardmen fell upon Strigoi_Marco’s Vampire Counts in a 750-point warband. The fight was close, but the cold-blooded host had the better of it with a Minor Victory.

Reports of battles across the world

• [6th Edition – Satellite] When the horns sounded for Pitched Battle, a temple-city cohort of Lizardmen crossed blades with a verminous host of Skaven in a 2,000-point army. Neither side could force the final yard, and the battle ended in a bloody Draw.

Lustria holds its line. Cold-blooded steadiness remains its own kind of weapon.

WEEK 10

  • Global standing: #7 ↓ (from #5).
  • W10 performance: #13 ↓ (from #7).
  • W10 return: 1.14 PPG over 7 games.
  • Record: 29/12/18 (+2/+2/+3).
The Great Plan moved slowly this week. The temple-cities traded blows with Skaven, Tomb Kings and Daemons, but the old cold-blooded certainty was blunted by too many reversals.
Battles in Karak Norn Wargaming this week

• [6th Edition – Local] Across ground marked for Capture, Tzunki_Tom’s Lizardmen fielding Southlands (LM-AB) locked shields with Nehekhara_Pete’s Tomb Kings fielding Quatar's Army (WebGW) in a 3,000-point grand host. The Southlands host moved in quick, scaled waves, skinks and sacred beasts working to one design. A sacred champion of the Old Ones marched with the cohort, cold purpose radiating from the scaled ranks. Neither side could force the last yard, and the field settled into a Draw.

• [The Old World – Local] Under the demands of Meeting Engagement, Sotek_Awakens’s Lizardmen crossed blades with Settra_Chris’s Tomb Kings fielding Mortuary Cult (AJ) in a 750-point warband. The Mortuary Cult walked behind the line like a second army of whispers and bone-dust. The Mortuary Cult chanted without pause, every incantation dragging the battle closer to Nehekhara’s will. The battle refused to choose a master and closed as a Draw.

Reports of battles across the world

• [The Old World – Satellite] With the battle plan set as Ambush, a temple-city cohort of Lizardmen met a daemonic host of Daemons in a 2,000-point army. Daemonic sorcery burned at the edges of the field, every spell a crack in the world’s skin. The heavens answered the cold-blooded priests, starlight and thunder moving to the rhythm of the Great Plan. The edge went the other way, leaving a Minor Defeat.

• [6th Edition – Satellite] Across ground marked for Pitched Battle, a temple-city cohort of Lizardmen fell upon a verminous host of Skaven in a 2,000-point army. The field slipped away hard, ending in a Solid Defeat.

• [6th Edition – Satellite] Under the demands of Pitched Battle, a temple-city cohort of Lizardmen engaged a verminous host of Skaven in a 2,000-point army. The line broke in their favour and the field was claimed as a Solid Victory.

• [6th Edition – Satellite] With the battle plan set as Pitched Battle, a temple-city cohort of Lizardmen clashed with a verminous host of Skaven in a 2,000-point army. The enemy carried the field, leaving them with a Solid Defeat.

• [6th Edition – Satellite] With the battle plan set as Pitched Battle, a temple-city cohort of Lizardmen fell upon an Imperial army of the Empire in a 2,000-point army. The attack found its mark and the result was a Solid Victory.

Lustria gives ground, but not much. The Great Plan can absorb delay; the standings are less forgiving.

  • W11 performance: #6 ↑ (from #13).
  • W11 return: 6 games.
  • Record: 29/15/19 (+2/+3/+1).
The servants of the Old Ones fought a measured week of hard exchanges. The arithmetic was less kind than the battle cries. Their 2 wins, 3 draws and 1 defeats could not stop a slide.
Battles in Karak Norn Wargaming this week

• [6th Edition – Local] With the battle plan set as Night Raid, Tzunki_Tom’s Lizardmen advanced against Grail_Seeker’s Bretonnia in a 500-point border patrol. The fight slipped beyond recovery: Solid Defeat.

• [6th Edition – Local] In the smoke and confusion of Night Raid, Tzunki_Tom’s Lizardmen locked shields with Grail_Seeker’s Bretonnia in a 500-point border patrol. By the close of battle the field was theirs: Solid Victory.

Reports of battles across the world

• [6th Edition – Satellite] In the smoke and confusion of Pitched Battle, a temple-city cohort of Lizardmen locked shields with a Nehekharan host of Tomb Kings in a 3,000-point grand host. Neither side could force the final breach: Draw.

• [6th Edition – Satellite] Under the demands of Pitched Battle, a temple-city cohort of Lizardmen met a verminous host of Skaven in a 2,000-point army. Neither side could force the final breach: Draw.

• [6th Edition – Satellite] With the battle plan set as Flank Attack, a temple-city cohort of Lizardmen advanced against a verminous host of Skaven in a 2,000-point army. Neither side could force the final breach: Draw.

The Great Plan has not broken stride, even where the standings have become unforgiving.

  • W12 performance: #3.
  • W12 return: 10 games; +3/+3/+4.
  • Record: 36/18/21 (+3/+3/+4).
Lustria answered Chaos with cold-blooded discipline. The cohorts did not sweep every field, yet their Exterminate run against the north gave the week its clearest temple-city signature.
Battles in Karak Norn Wargaming this week

• [6th Edition – Local] Across ground marked for Exterminate, Sotek_Awakens’s Lizardmen advanced into Everchosen_ZH’s Hordes of Chaos in a 500-point Border Patrol; no quarter was expected, and none was offered, and enough ground was held to make the difference: Minor Victory.

• [6th Edition – Local] Under the demands of Exterminate, Sotek_Awakens’s Lizardmen closed upon Everchosen_ZH’s Hordes of Chaos in a 500-point Border Patrol; no quarter was expected, and none was offered, and enough ground was held to make the difference: Minor Victory.

• [6th Edition – Local] In the smoke and clamour of Exterminate, Sotek_Awakens’s Lizardmen fell upon Everchosen_ZH’s Hordes of Chaos in a 500-point Border Patrol; no quarter was expected, and none was offered, and neither side could force the final stroke: Draw.

• [6th Edition – Local] With the orders set for Breakthrough, Tzunki_Tom’s Lizardmen met Be_lakor_CH’s Vampire Counts in a 2,000-point army; the battle became a race through splintered lines and desperate rearguards, but a handful of yards and bodies decided against them: Minor Defeat.

• [6th Edition – Local] On a field shaped by Breakthrough, Tzunki_Tom’s Lizardmen crossed blades with Be_lakor_CH’s Vampire Counts in a 2,000-point army; the battle became a race through splintered lines and desperate rearguards, but a handful of yards and bodies decided against them: Minor Defeat.

Reports of battles across the world

• [6th Edition – Satellite] Across ground marked for Table Quarters, a temple-city cohort advanced into a brayherd in a 500-point Border Patrol; the field split into hard-won parcels, each one contested with stubborn malice, and when the killing was done the field belonged to them alone: Massacre.

• [6th Edition – Satellite] Under the demands of Flank Attack, a temple-city cohort closed upon a verminous host in a 2,000-point army; the flank became the hinge on which the whole battle turned, and neither side could force the final stroke: Draw.

• [6th Edition – Satellite] In the smoke and clamour of Meeting Engagement, a temple-city cohort fell upon a verminous host in a 2,000-point army; both forces crashed into contact before either could shape the perfect battleline, and the field was theirs by nightfall: Solid Victory.

• [6th Edition – Satellite] With the orders set for Pitched Battle, a temple-city cohort met a Dwarf throng in a 2,000-point army; no subtlety survived long once the lines closed, and the field was theirs by nightfall: Solid Victory.

• [T9A – Satellite] On a field shaped by Pitched Battle, a temple-city cohort crossed blades with a Kislevite rota in a 2,000-point army; no subtlety survived long once the lines closed, and neither side could force the final stroke: Draw.

The Great Plan advances by inches, and inches are enough when the enemy bleeds for each one.

WEEK 13 - Campaign Finale: The Jade Staff is Lost to Naggaroth

That is it. The last dice have rolled, the last standards have been counted, and the campaign ledger can finally be closed. Week 13 brought 181 more battles crashing into the record, enough blood, ash and bad handwriting to keep any map-room scribe busy until winter.

When the smoke cleared, one banner still flew above the rest: the black banner of Naggaroth. The Dark Elves are the champions of the campaign. Congratulations to the Druchii generals, who fought their way through thirteen weeks of grudges, ambushes, night raids and outright slaughter to recover the Jade Staff.

Of course, anyone expecting the Dark Elves to hand a priceless artefact back to the temple-cities has not been paying attention. The Jade Staff was meant to be delivered to the servants of the Old Ones. Instead, the Druchii have claimed it for themselves. No solemn return. No honoured pact. Just cold smiles, black sails and a relic vanishing north towards Naggaroth.

The Lizardmen will not take long to understand the insult. When Lord Mazdamundi learns that the Staff has not been restored but stolen, the answer will not be a polite summons. It will be the slow, dreadful turning of an ancient will towards the Dark Elves. Skink messengers will run through temple avenues, spawning pools will stir, and somewhere in Lustria the heavens themselves will be consulted for war.

So let the Dread Lords enjoy their victory while they can. The Jade Staff is theirs, but so is the wrath that follows it. Now Naggaroth must choose where to hide the prize, which fortress will bear the honour, and on what bleak shore the Druchii will face the coming sea of claws and scales.

The Final Campaign Scoreboard

Here stands the final order of the war. Not a weekly form table, not a rumour from the front, but the finished campaign ranking after thirteen weeks of fighting.

  • #14 - Kislev. Final record: 21/13/45; Week 13: +2/+3/+7 over 12 games.

  • #16 - Orcs & Goblins. Final record: 46/29/110; Week 13: +9/+8/+25 over 42 games.
  • #17 - The Empire. Final record: 40/17/100; Week 13: +7/+2/+20 over 29 games.
  • #18 - Beastmen. Final record: 25/22/66; Week 13: +3/+4/+9 over 16 games.

What the Final Week Leaves Behind

The Dark Elves did not win cleanly, and that is probably how they prefer it. They were not untouched, not beloved, and not always comfortable, but they were there at the end with the prize in hand. That is the sort of victory the Druchii understand.

Behind them, the Skaven finish close enough to make every sentry nervous, while the Hordes of Chaos complete the podium with the air of an army that has not so much lost as been temporarily pointed in the wrong direction. The Lizardmen finish fourth, which matters more now than it did when the first games were played. They are not the champions, but they are the offended party, and offended Lizardmen tend to arrive with dinosaurs.

There were other stories worth a cheer. Dogs of War posted the sharpest performance of the final week, Tomb Kings filled the ledgers with stubborn Nehekharan endurance, and the Dwarfs did what Dwarfs do best: survive, record the insult, and promise to make it expensive later.

Lower down the table, the campaign was less kind. Bretonnia, the Empire, Chaos Dwarfs and Beastmen all leave with more scars than songs. Still, no army that fought for thirteen weeks truly leaves empty-handed. There are grudges to settle, trophies to polish, and revenge lists long enough to start the next campaign before the ink is dry.

For the last time, here is the master ledger of the campaign’s final week: https://karaknornwargaming.blogspot.com/2026/08/war-room-dark-conspiracy-week-13-field.html

Lizardmen

  • W13 performance: #2.
  • W13 return: 12 games; +6/+4/+2.
  • Record: 44/22/21 (+6/+4/+2).
The temple-cities surged upward with cold-blooded purpose. Local cohorts punished the woodland warhosts and held firm against the Dawi-Zharr, while distant scaled ranks kept grinding points from every theatre.

The Old Ones’ plan has advanced another step, whether the warm-bloods understand it or not.

The Wrath of Mazdamundi

Now that the Dark Elves have secured the Jade Staff, they will hide it from the Lizardmen. Lord Mazdamundi is reuniting their forces to recover it!
