AoS 500-2500pt Escalation league list. 1.5k List help needed.

Yeah 1k is definitely going to be the hardest, especially with the opponent I have. I'm thinking just send the Guard/Basti/Sunblood capping objectives with the rest picking off targets and being a bit more aggressive.

The indecision continues! I lost my last game which means i can replace a unit if I want to, I'm thinking about taking out the chameleon skinks as so far they've done a total of about 5 wounds over 3 games and havent held any objectives or anything like that.

My previous list idea was:

Leaders
Saurus Sunblood (120)
Saurus Scar-Veteran on Cold One (100)
Saurus Scar-Veteran on Cold One (100)
Saurus Oldblood on Carnosaur (320)

Battleline
10 x Saurus Knights (240)
5 x Saurus Guard (100)
5 x Chameleon Skinks (120)
Bastiladon (300)

Battalions
Bloodclaw Starhost (100)

Total: 1500/1500

I'm thinking about changing that to:

Allegiance: Order

Leaders
Saurus Scar-Veteran on Cold One (100)
Saurus Scar-Veteran on Cold One (100)
Saurus Oldblood on Carnosaur (320)
Saurus Sunblood (120)
Skink Starpriest (100)

Units:
5 x Saurus Guard (100)
10 x Saurus Knights (240)
Bastiladon (300)

Battalions
Bloodclaw Starhost (100)

Total: 1480/1500

Opinions on the two lists? If I go with the first list I would move in to a shadowstrike starhost, with the newly revised one I would add a Scar vet on Carno and Stegadon I think. I'm leaning towards the second just cause spending 220 pts on battalions alone seems like a lot, I could also use the scar vet on carno in the bloodclaw instead of one of the cold ones if i felt the command ability would be more useful in my match up.

I would say the two battalions work well together and are worth the points.
But starpriest should be quite useful. You're going to have a hard time picking off key units, but that seemed to be a problem previously as well. So go with the second list, you could still build a shadowstrike into it if you wanted to.

Yeah previously I was using the basti/Guard/Sunblood to hold objectives and bait the hard hitters in while using the Cavalry to flank and take out weaker units. I'll probably stick with a similar strategy with either list and use the old blood to jump in wherever he is needed or hunt down a unit i really need dead.

Thats the hope at least.
