8th Ed. 3000pt team fight lizardmen/empire vs orcs/vc

Hey everyone, as the title says I am playing a team match vs vc and orcs(and goblins i assume)

my empire mate is going with
9 inner cirle knights, full command, wailling banner (terror).
10 archers
28 flagellants, with. champion.
cannon
helblaster
steam tank
lv 3 wizard lord
warrior priest on a horse with crown of command

I was thinking about something like this

slann with rumination, higher state, bsb and plaque of tepok
scar vet on coldone, burning blade, dawnstone, charmed shield
skink priest with forbidden rod
25 saurus with musician and standard
10 skirmishers
10 skirmishers
6 chameleon skinks
6 chameleon skinks
2 salamander
2 salamander

last time we played the the vc player ran vargheists, varghulf, gg horde, skeleton horde, some ghouls and 3 lvl 1 casters. the orc player ran aracnorock, doomdiver, trolls, biguns (with his warboss and bsb), night goblins with a fanatic, a lvl 4 shaman and some wolf chariots

so general or specific tactics against the armies and advice on my list (and my friends) would be much appreciated.

Not sure what to say, other than that I like it. You didn't say what lore the slann or wizard lore were taking. Death and Life might work well. Get some leadership nerfs out there, and the terror and salamanders should do well. With that in mind, it might be worth getting a stegadon in there.

I was thinking running shadow with my slann and the empire is probably downgrading his wizard lord to a lvl 2 or 1 and adding a master engineer. Would like to get a stegadon in there but I dont know what to cut. we will probably be outmatched in fighting blocks so we are hoping our mobility and shooting/magic can help us pick battles we can win. any advice on the graveguard horde? that thing is nasty.
