I love playing Saurus heavy lists, and with High elves getting re-rolls to hit I figure large bocks of solid saurus would hold the line. By taking two slann im trying to counter the inevitble magical storm the elves conjure.

The first will take the temple guard and lore of fire, aiming to press deep into their lines and cause havoc. The second will take the lore of life and sit back a bit, keeping the line strong.

The Coldones will generaly run around and support the saurus who footslog across the board.

The Skink mage will act as a scroll cady and hopefully cast some sporadic spells from the back. The skink skirmishers will dart around and harry the larger elven units with blow-dart fire. The chief will go hunting bolt throwers which will inevibility target the slann.

Any thoughts on what i should do?

cant use scroll caddys anymore, 1 dispel scroll per army now

Really? I must of missed that, thank for the heads up. Does that cover just dispell scrolls or feedback scrolls aswell?

It covers everything unless, in the items description it specifically says that more than one can be taken.
As for your list, it looks pretty strong although I am a bit of a sceptic when it comes to two slanns and a priest. To be able to have a magic phase in which they can all participate you're going to have to roll over seven with nine or ten being where you would get max power.

Im hoping The foucsed Rumination will help keep up the magic front when power dice start to fall low, but I can see your point. My current army would allow me to replace it with either 7 more cold ones or a Ancient Steg. thoughts?

I'd say go for the steg. nothing hurts Helves more than hitting first. The Steg will also add an additional big threat on the table whereas the cold ones right now are not a large threat as they don't negate ranks but still strong enough to not be ignored.
Plus 2D6 poison shots is nothing to sneeze at either.
