8th Ed. 2400 Tournament -- Help Needed

Hi all,

I'm preparing a 2400 point tournament list for CanCon, an annual gaming convention held in Canberra, Australia. Here's my list of painted models:

Slann Mage-Priest

72 Skinks (24 with blowpipes)

30 Temple Guard (2 command groups)

40 Saurus with spears (2 command groups)

6 Kroxigor

4 Terradons

16 Cold One riders (2 command groups)

2 Salamanders

Ancient Stegadon

Can you help me make a good list?

Looks like you've got a double horde list. You run your big blocks of slann and TG and the max amount of skirmishers you can if they are comped. Try to distinguish one of your cold ones as a scarvet cowboy maybe and the same for a terradon egg chief. Also perhaps there could be a simple way to distinguish some of your blow pipe skinks as chameleons.

I think my next move should be to get a skink priest on foot model, as well as some chameleon skinks.

Not sure if there is any comp at this tournament, but double check as you may be hurting yourself with Gor-rok (special characters) and too many skirmisher units. If so cohorts with musicians make decent chaff and you can free up a few more points. Otherwise the list is pretty solid as long as you play the avoidance game and try to poison down as many models as possible before you commit your big units; salamanders will help too. Best of luck to you and don't be disheartened if he gets to your units a little early they're both stubborn if Gor-rok is with the saurus and slann is in the TG.
