Because I have 6 carnos(so I can do full regiments of rhinosaurs in KOW)and want a reason to play with them all(or at least 4)

Knights of Seraphonia

Old blood on Carnosaur
-General, Legendary Fighter, Relic Blade
Scar-Vet on Carnosaur
-Warblade
Scar-Vet on Carnosaur
-Warblade
Skink Priest

Firelance Starhost Battalion

Scar-Vet on Carnosaur
-Warblade, Quicksilver Potion
10x Saurus Knights
10x Saurus Knights
10x Saurus Knights

1980/2000

Very simple in theory. General buffs the attacks of the heroes. Priest buffs everyone turn before big charges. Carnosaurs charge into the weaker infantry to quickly mop them up with the high number of wounds and blood roar. Knights with extra mortal wounds from firelances charge the harder to hurt infantry and spam wounds and mortal wounds until they die. The goal is to Quickly clear chaff so the army can surround the big important stuff like sharks around a tasty meal.

With 3 units with icons and 4 carnos, there is a terror sub theme here. Not reliable enough on its own but it could come in handy.

Briliant! Just looks like fun to play! I would probably go with starpriest though, unbind and the opportunity for a bit of magic works better than the prayer.

Maybe. My thinking was that the re-roll to saves would be incredibly useful the big turn I charge in. I'm actually debating taking this to a locals soon so I'll get some practice games with both in if I'm able to find the time.

Would be interesting to see which one performs better here.

Please tell me you have a picture of this army.

The fun thing about this list is the mental component it brings. Your opponents will literally be concerned about the engagement. You'll have to do a Battle Report with these guys :)

I'm actually in the middle of painting 20 knights and 2 carnos for a different list I was going to do but this sounds so fun I will have to add 10 more knights and 2 more carnos to my painting queue. Once they are presentable I'll be happy to post on the painting thread :)

This is my absolute first post after lurking for months to thank you. I've been looking for a list that appeals to my inner small child and you've accomplished this beautifully. Thinking about a "unit" of carnosaurs charging makes me absolutely giddy :D.

I second this. If ever this army sees the light of day, I'd love to see a battle report!

This is a thing of beauty. Never did I realise I wanted a Carnosaur squad until now.

My question now is...can we fit that into a Bloodclaw Starhost?

Think of all the stacked buffs

Welcome to the forums Gradeaal!

I'm glad everyone is as giddy and laughing with Joy as I am. I'm totally reverting to a 5 year old whenever I think about playing it.
The Carnosaur and cold-one knights were what drove me to play lizards in the first place. I've always loved Dinosaurs and an army of dinosaurs riding dinosaurs sold me on it.

@InfamousBeany Yes you can

Bloodclaw starhost

Old blood on carno
Scar-vet on cold one
Scar-vet on cold one
Scar-vet on carno

10x knights
10x knights
5x knights

Scar-vet on carno

Bloodclaw with knights almost demands cold-one vets to put out savage charge every turn. And you need 2 to cover your army. Because you lose the extra mortal wounds in favor of more "normal" attacks, the army plays completely different. Now you are using the knights as the source of many wounds to kill the weaker infantry and chaff and the carnos to kill the harder to kill things.

I honestly don't know which one would be better, but my gut says it's probably a meta call. Do you need more mortal wounds or more normal attacks? That sort of thing.

Question, is tenhenauin still legal? If he is you could potential do a bloodclaw list like this and just use the carnos to buff each unit of knights. Not sure if their buff is better than scar-vets on cold ones, but the ability to priestly rites one of the units with tenhenauin would be interesting.

I love knights as well and have been contemplating knights with some Aelf reavers and a Dragonlord a very mobile army with added shooting.

This should be fun! Definitely looking forward to the battle report!

Haha thanks guys. I'm looking forward to it. I'm planning on using my original list with the starpriest for the poison staff and starlight spell. I think the extra mortal wounds from the firelance battalion would be really good in the meta right now.

I won't have time to paint the army to a good standard but I'll try to get base coats and minimum 3 colors on everyone.

I have used Serpent Staff + Troglodon against my friend's Orruks and it can be hell. Wiped out a unit of Orruks (I think it was 12-14 guys) in one turn with it. Serpent Staff + Carnosaur might be even worse for the enemy.

Thats a great tactic. I suspect it would be better for the trog though because of the shooting attack? Does it assist that too? And the carno only has the 6 bite attacks in CC.
