8th Ed. 2000 Lizard Army

Hey guys, had to make a new account as i could get the password reset email for some reason, but wanted to post up a quick army list i drafted together to fight this week against a tomb king's.

Any and all advice is needed and welcomed

Saurus oldblood
-Carnosaur

-sword of bloodshed (+3 attacks)
Armour of fortune (heavy armour, 5+ward)
Potion of speed (+3 initiative for one turn) = 471
Skink Priest
-Level 2
-Engine of the Gods
- Curse charm of tepok (force reroll on enemy miscast)
-Plaque of tepok (Knows one extra spell) =425

30 Saurus
(Full command) =370
22 Skinks (with 2 kroxigors) =220
10 Skink Skirmishers = 70
8 x Cold on cavalry
(Full command) – Huanchi’s blessed totem (+D6” On charge (one use) =305
1 Salamander (with extra skink) =80
5 x chameleon skinks. = 60

Total = 2001

You can't have light armour and heavy armour on the same model as is the case for your old blood.
However he is way over armoured any way even ignoring the light armour

Scaly skin 4+
Mounted +1
Shield +1
Heavy armour +2

That is a 0+ which gets capped out at a 1+



Even so, a carnosaur will be a screaming skull catapult magnet so I would suggest a charmed shield instead of gamblers, and light armour instead of the mundane shield, so still gives 1+ And a one use 2+ catapult dodge (although an archer might get rid of this if the player is good) and give yourself a dawnstone or a opal amulet


Remember tomb kings hit every on a 5+ when shooting so that is skinks and chameleons getting hit easily

I'd also give the Skink Priest a one shot protective talisman like the Opal Amulet or if you are a really paranoid, the Amulet of Itzl. Even though the Stegadon is likely to survive a catapult rock, the Skink priest is not.
