8th Ed. 1st Lizardmen list 1500pts

Hello all,

So I have made a 1500pts list working towards buying the models to start playing and learning.
this is what I came up with.

Slann mage priest
BSB
Channeling staff
Harmonic convergence
Lore of life

Gor-rok (love this fluff on this guy and model is awesome too)

Skink priest
lvl 1 beasts
dispell scroll

Saurus warriors
x 25 full command

Skink skirmishers
x 10 no upgrades

Temple Guard
x 16 Muso and standard

Stegadon
sharpened horns

Totals 1499 pts

Was thinking while Gor-rok is alive with Temple guard and Slann BSB they should never break.
lore of life and beasts for crazy buffs making temple guard monsters.

Warriors to use as a unit to take inital charges then flank with steg.

Steg with sharpened for that damb terrorgiest or mournfang.

Remember that Temple Guard with a Slann are already Stubborn. No need to add Gor-Rok to that unit to gain Stubborn, but he is a beefy character. Just pointing out that you could put him with the regular Saurus to get 3 Stubborn units.

Looks like an ok list though. Very tough infantry for such a small game. You might find yourself being out-maneuvered, but being Stubborn will help with that.

A Life Slann used to be one of the rock'n'roll kings of Warhammer, but without Loremaster he's a bit more dicey. Granted it is a smaller game so you can't have everything. If you are lucky enough to get Flesh to Stone and Throne of Vines, you'll be a happy camper.
