hey people so tonight was veterans night at my local gw and they let us use the 8th edition rulebook to play our games cant wait for next thursday now. this wont be a full battle report just bits of what happend
so 1st off i played a 2000pts skaven army and i got it handed to me bigstyle
initiative attacking sux well when your saurus it does - i had 36 saurus charge his 30 plague monks and furnace with plague banner thing he had higher int so attacked i had 14 saurus left after that
random charge was hit and miss - his big block kept rolling double ones to charge so i got the charge in but see above didnt turn out to well - his plague censor guys charged 18inch !!!! into my slaan

magic was fun, i used fire in this game got off a few good spells such as the fire cage if opponent moves next turn all models take strength 4 hit, 2 miscasts happend this game. i miscast and transferred it to his he only sufferd a strength six hit on his caster, the other his special character miscast a small template strength 10 hit to evryone under
(fire was fun because i could add my free dice from slaan plus the lores rule where you can add d3 casting value to your roll if youve already hit the same unit with a fire spell so i was +5 to cast nearly every spell with an extra dice)
my salamander can only shoot once the whole game ??? all breath weapons only shoot once a game beter be fixed in the errata for us
skrox unit was horrible although his special character had a spell where every model had to test on toughness or die had 28 skinks n 3 krox left with 3 krox and 5 skinks
my coc and steg declared charges on his 20 plauge monks bad deployment by me ment coc clipping the forest and rolling to see what forest it was turned it into a dangerous terrained poisned forredt didnt go to well anyway my steg hit the unit with steg spear plus attack plus thunder stomp killed 8 of them i won combat by 3 but he had a rank left so he was testing as stubborn if i had killed 3 more he wouldnt of had a rank i wouldnt of died and the rest of my army wouldnt of been left unsuported
next thursday ill see if i can do a bat rep and write down all units etc what happend but 8th seems to be looking good expecially for my second battle
