Hey I posted my initial list here a while back and you guys were helpful. I've played a couple games and want to get feedback on my updated army list. I've played against Wood Elves and WoC. The new list I want to try is as follows

My games against Elves have gone well, the only trouble I get into is with glade guard not dying and me losing those points (although so far I haven't needed them). What happens is my skinks and and the Guard have a shootout, usually they both take heavy casualties, and then the Dryads and Treekin come in. Either I charge with my Skinks and lose the shooting, or charge with my Saurus if they're close enough and keep shooting. I've found that I do better to sacrifice the skinks by tying up a unit of dryads so that my Saurus can decimate, then just clearing out all the forest spirits in a few turns without getting flanked.

My games against WoC are a lot rougher. I haven't lost yet but I haven't done well either. So far I've been lucky to use terrain to my advantage and take out his units one at a time. I think the best strategy I've come up with is to brace against his charges with spears (he runs a lot of Marauders with GWs) and use skinks and my salamander to widdle them down on the way. This obviously isn't going to work forever, and I would appreciate some advice. Thanks
 
well spears is wasted on the unit of 10 they won't get any more attacks than a regular hand weapon unit.
and they will miss out on the 6+ ward save.

Doh! Thanks this is a great point. I do wonder, however: If my SV frenzies because of the Pendant, does the rest of the unit still get the ward save?
Also that extra 10 points leaves me in a strange position, because I am 1 point away (986) from grabbing the Plaque of Tepoc which I think would be helpful. Any suggestions on what to do with 14 extra points? I've found that musicians never help the Saurus, because with Cold Blooded I either make it or lose big, but I'm a newb.

Well an extra Salamander handler never hurts.

oh and the frenzy only effects the character who has the item unless it says otherwise.
 
you cannot have both GW and sword of battle (and if you drop one of those (probably sword of battle) you get enough points for a handler, palaque of tepoc and probably two more skinks)

Also I'll drop all spears on your saurus untis and combine two 15 strong into one 30 horde (that would make all your saurus warriors fight without spears and still get 6+ ward save)

Now you get some points saved from spears and commands. Of course you need a musican for such a horde.

With rest you could go for a Kroxigor and more skinks, or a dragon helm for SV.
