8th Ed. 1K killer army

This is my 1000pts army list/s, since its creation a few weeks ago its on a 9 win streak vs Bretonnians, Vampire Counts and Empire and one instance of Empire allied with Vampire Counts VS Me and Dwarves

Sometimes i swap out my Chief for a priest if im against the VC or the Brets Damsel, but mostly its the Saurus with scar vet and old blood on the flanks pretty much carve anything that they fight.
VC get totally destroyed by crumbling, Bretonians lance formation cant win the first combat with the stegadon ready to cover the flank charge for the second round...yes only one flank covered and the Empire are just frail.

any tips or stuff ya know that can help me out more? i have only been playing for about 3 months.

oops my bad ah im still learning and forget things well it makes the list better anyway if i swap the chief for a priest. used the chief in my last 2 battles go good effect against VC harass against the black coach and ethereal wraiths, but yes the chief is crap for pts other than that. The other reason i had a chief was cause i feel magic really does take the fun out of a win when your comet of casandora kills over 600pts worth of enemy units....dont give them a reason to say your win was not justified!!!

In addition to having VotFF twice, the list also fails to meet the minimum requirement of 3 units. Also, not sure what GSS is on the BSB.

i don't know what this 3 unit minimum req is, downloading 8th pdf now but was under the assumption that i was good since no one has hit me up since i started doing it.
to be safe here's a revised army list ill use from now on to adhere to the rules

That definitely looks better. The three unit rule is on page 134 of the BRB. As for the list itself, I personally prefer to go skrox vice saurus just to have extra movement at under 1000 but if the list is working then stick with it.

i would go SKrox but i really like the steg and also dont have my krox models till they arrive from reaper minis

bsb can have magic items just not if the banner is magic, in my case hes just running a regular battle standard

played this army in a 3v3 allied

took a charge from a skelly deathstar with 4 wraiths in the front + skelly command, necro in the 2nd rank and 8 deep...
my 20 saurus deathstar command with scar-vet bsb and old blood on CO on the flanks tore through them like paper, the silly man should have put a vamp in the front so his unit was 5 wide but i would have been forced to attack either the vamp or the ethereal's with my rank and file.
anyway the moral of the story is saurus command small in numbers but large in pts cost should hold in combat long enough to slay your enemies combat resolution for the first 2-3 rounds even if your severely outnumbered, giving you well enough time to get that steg flank
