8th Ed. 1600pts against vampires

Hi peeps,

Im gonna have a small evening match against my old friend who plays VC. he told me earlier to setup a 1600 list. so why 1600? *kinda suspicious* he might've built an anti lizardmen i was thinking.

so here goes my list...

the problem is, it is kinda tight for a BSB and a block of TGs guarding the slann. and also i was thinking of exchanging the eotg with tettoeko for point saving so i can put commands in my 16 hws saurus and another salamander.

i am scared of his varghulf, spirit host and black coach is hes bringing one. ive never fought a vamp before.

Drop the EOTG and take TG and BSB. Take a lvl 2 priest with the forbidden rod and the amulet that gives a 4+ ward save against the first wound. Winds of magic willing, use the lore of light and target his unit with the vampire. Use banishment or burning gaze on that unit as much as you can. The dmaage will wear him down. Once his Vampire lord goes down, his army will crumble.
