Hello,

Next week i'm competing in a casual tournament. there are some extra rules:
- max 3 wizard lvls in your list
- no double rares, no triple specials
- max 5 power die per spell cast
- no special characters

This is what i came up with:

Saurus oldblood: armor of fortune, biting blade, carnosaur

Scar-vet: Glyph necklace, Gold sigil sword, LA, Sh, CO, BSB
Skink priest: lvl 2, plaque of tepok

21 Saurus warriors: FC
10 Skink skirmishers
10 Skink skirmishers

8 Cold one cavalry: banner (Banner of eternal flame)
3 Terradons
5 Chameleon skinks

Salamander hunting pack: extra handler

1599 points

It's a shame the oldblood can't be kitted out more, but this is all that fits in 400 points. I was thinking of removing a cold one for a musician on the CoC and a cloak of feathers for the priest. Thing is i have to enter my list today, so i thought i'd ask your oppinions.

All C&C welcome :)

Oh no! Sorry I missed this. How'd the biz-caz tourney go?

Looks like a decent list. Only one monster means he probably will (or did) get shot up by cannonballs. In a magic limited game I'd probably lean towards a list with a dual Oldblood+Scar-Vet Cowboy combo plus a Stubborn Oldblood+Scar-Vet BSB combo in some Saurus. Likely skimp on the Carnosaur for the stubborn OB. Maybe a skink scroll caddy if there were enough points left over.

well i just had to enter my list. The tourney is on sunday.

due to some stupid counting mistake on my part the list turned out slightly different. I have only 6 CoC now, but they do have a musician. I also opted for a cloak of feathers for my priest, because i never used it before and the idea apealed to me. It's a casual tourney anyway...
I'm indeed worries about cannons but i thought well, i might as well try it. Never played with a carno before, so i'd like to give him a go. At first i wanted to get an EotG in there but decided against it because i would lack a bsb. I think the opponent will see the CoC as a threat too, if either one of them makes it, i'll at least get to bash some skulls :rage:

Because of the magic restrictions my single lvl 2 might not even be that bad. that's why i went for the more 'aggresive' extra spell option.
You are probably right about the carno and a dual OB sounds pretty sick too. To bad i'm stuck with my list now ;)
I'm getting some practise games in on thursday/friday, so we'll see how that goes.

Let us know how it goes on sunday.
I personally think the no double rares is the simplest comp out there. Saves us from dual Stank, HPA, various rare cannons etc.
