I am constructing my first 1500 points list for an upcoming tournament, and this is what I came up with:

Slann w/ focused Rumination, cupped hands, plaque of Tepok, and battle standard (lore of life)-360
(the slann doesn't have focus of mystery because I think sacrificing 2 spells for the battle standard is worth it)

Saurus block (25) w/ standard and musician-293

Ancient Stegadon-275

Temple Guard-(20) w/ full command-355

Salamander- (1) w/ extra skink-80

Skink skirmishers- (11)-77

Chameleon skinks (5)-60

The idea is that the Saurus and temple guard form the center while the skirmishers screen them. The stegadon and Salamander guard the flanks (quick question: would a razordon be better at defending a flank than a salamander) while the chameleons seek out warmachines. I would appreciate the thoughts of the people here on Lustria online, and thank you :)

I know I said I would appreciate your thoughts, but I would also appreciate you putting those thoughts in the form of a post. ;)

These days, I don't undervalue loremaster. If you miss out on throne of vines (or maybe dwellers against a horde army, or whatever one spell you REALLY don't want to do without), you might regret it. Also, I try to use my steg as a hammer for flank charges, and asap at that. Especially if the opponent has war-machines.

Arguably yes, as Ld 9 and cold blooded has such a tiny chance of failing, and the TG are stubborn, the re-roll might be required so little it becomes a waste of points...

You decide though. I've never had a problem with leadership and have never bothered with a slann BSB.

Don't let people tell you that " ooh but if the TG break the slann dies" because if the TG break with their stubborn leadership of 9 then something has already gone horribly, horribly wrong.
