As my store is highly competitive in fantasy unless the game is verbally scheduled as friendly, thought I'd build my best skink list (first attempt, as I run Saurus heavy lists a lot of the time.) do here it is, and don't be shy with the criticism :)

Lords:
Lone Slann with higher state and rumination( because of all the skirmishers I think I'll go fire, post which lore you think and why)

Heroes:210
Skink priest lvl 2 with dispel scroll

Skink chief on teradon with staff of the lost sun

Core:500
5x10 skink skirmishers

19 skink cohorts w/ 1 kroxigor (priest is in here)

Special:385

Stegadon

3 teradons (with chief)

5 chameleon skinks

Rare:150

2 sallies

Any tips would be great!

For the old ones!

If you are playing all skink at this low point level i would go all skirmish, the skrox and steg could be dropped to add in alot more fun stuff.
I would also drop the second level on the priest and i would usually take light on the slann but i think a ethereal on death could be nasty.
The chief wont get a LOS unless there is five plain terradons so, i would run him solo with a charmed shield - still not as good as a scar vet but kinda goes against the theme.

Thank you, also I just looked at GWs site to price check what I don't have, and all the metal is finecast now! He'll yeah! Spending splurge incoming lol, I actually am in agreement with you, I only had them for points, and now that I'm tempted by all that sweet new finecast I'll pick up some teridons, chameleons, a new slann, and Some new sallies :). I'll have a new list up later today Im too tired now lol

first thing first check out www.maelstromgames.co.uk and use the code GW-SUMMER for 20% off.
i was wondering how attached you were to that chief on a terradon, have you tried putting him on the steg with the war spear this way you get 2d6+1 s5 impact hits, 3 s6 attacks (magical), 4 poisoned s3 attacks, then 4 stre 5 attacks, and if your running a light slann you can cast bironas and make him m10, asf, and get a handful of extra attacks.
Now you'd have to sacrifice the skink priest for this but i think it had merit. and the priest points could boost your number of krox or terradons

I have yet to try this set up but i am contemplating it for the new campaign im running (Welcome to the jungle, keep an eye out in Battle reports)

Do you need to live in uk for that? Also I have no attachment to chief (don't even have him yet) and I've tried the birana steg trick, and it always surprises them, and can usually get a flank charge :) I'll put up a new list in like an hour or 2

Here it is (basically a new list)

Lords:
Solo slann w/ cupped hands, rumination and higher state

Heroes:
Skink chief w/ stegadon and stegadon warspear, light armor and shield

Core:
6x10 skink skirmishers w/ blowpipes

Special:
5 chameleons w/ stalker

Rare:
2 sallies

2 sallies

Total:1500

Should I still take light with this list? I also feel death could be good here

For the old ones

Yes as they are an amazing unit.

Im not sure the chief/steg is really adding what you want. To me its just making your list less flexible rather than more.

I think I'll totally re write this and add a block of 25 Saurus with a scar vet instead of steg

Probably be better, but its still not needed. I think the slann is not necessary at this low point level but would be very effectice.

I think that's a good idea. At the moment there isn't any combat block that has 'survivability' against other enemy blocks. I think you'd do great against ogres (lots of poison, they can't catch you!) but would struggle against fast armies (Brettonians would whip through the army like no tomorrow...assuming they didn't get salamander acid in the face first...my brettonian friend hates salamanders :))

I agree that the slann is not necisarry. But I will most likely bring this to a tourney

Here it is, I've picked shadow as I think it goes well with the tricksy mobile feel of the list, and I will likely need it to help the Saurus and deal damage.

LORDS:
Solo slann w/ cupped hands, higher state, and rumination

HEROES:
Scar vet w/ enchanted shield, gamblers armor, sword of striking, bsb

CORE:
25 Saurus w/ full command

3x10 skink skirmishers

SPECIAL:
3 teradons

3 teradons

5 camo skinks

RARE:
Salamander

Salamander

Total: 1500

Good list! The withering plus salamander is mean as hell and really makes a mockery of almost everything your saurus cant handle

Nice list, very uncomplicated and should work well.

The only thing is the scar vet build is illegal.
He has both the enchanted shield and gamblers armour, both of which are magical armour so he can only take one of them.

Also he has 60 points worth of magical items because the enchanted shield has a value in the lizardmen book which is larger than the BRB and it states you use that value so it comes out as 60 pts of items.
