8th Ed. 1000pts Starter List

Hi all, new to Lizardmen and 8th Ed. having played many moons ago (probably 5th Ed)

Have drawn up a list from available units (no time to get Stegs yet), can you pick it to pieces and suggest improvements

Saurus Oldblood - Gen, LA, Sword of the Hornet, Maiming Shield, Crown of Command
Saurus ScarVet - BSB,LA Shield, War Banner
18 Saurus inc Champion, Musician, Std Bearer, Spear and Shield

Skink Priest lvl 1, Plaque of Tepok, Cloak of Feathers

10 Skink Skirmishers with Brave

7 Chameleon Skinks with Stalker

7 Chameleon Skinks with Stalker

1: I think the equipment of your oldblood can be optimised. 2+ AS is decent but he has no ward. Drop the Maiming Shield (way to expensive anyways) for the Armor of Luck / Lucky Armor (the one giving you 5+ ward) and normal shield. that gives you 1+ AS and 5+ WS. Since your Dude won't die you can also drop the Sword of the Hornet for sth more beefy
And squeezing in a Luckystone is always a good choice IMO.

2: Your chamos dont need Stalkers. Not at all. Safe the points for more Saurus! 18 is a bit few.

3: I'd consider dropping the Skirmishers or one Chamo Unit for a Sally...
