7th Ed. 1000 points against magic High Elves

Hi all!
I'll be fighting a very magic heavy high elf opponent. He will probably use 3 mages, Dragon Princes, Swordsmasters, spears and 1 bolt thrower.

I was thinking about something like this:

Scar-vet 160
LA, CO, SotMP, BBoC

Skink Priest 150
lvl 2, DoP, scroll

16 saurus warriors 222
spears, FC

10 skink skirmishers 70

5 cold one cavalry 175

6 chameleon skinks 72

2 razordon hunting packs 150

total: 999

I hope this list stands a chance against the elves.

I have a recommendation, most of your list looks pretty solid but....

razordons should be switched 2 sallies, who will get rid of all high elf armour, and you can watch and laugh as half a unit goes down instantly

yea i've been thinking about that, but since there isn't really that much armor in the list aside from DP's (who are immune to flaming attacks) i thought that razordon's would fit the bill best. Also because of that nasty ASF rule they have and the possibility to get a very nice stand and shoot against for instance a bunch of swordsmasters.

please keep the advice comming

He has three mages in a 1000 points army. This is over the top. SO
-take 2 dispel scrolls on two priests (with nothing else, and hide them). will crap on his day and serve him right for taking such a retarded amount of magic in a small, friendly game.

-otherwise (other than the cold ones, im not a fan)., it should be good. you might want 18 saurus ranked 6.3 with spears.

i know he has way to much magic, but i hope to stomp him in combat

we both agreed to up the points to 1250 so i was thinking about adding:
-skink chief: LA, AHW, BP, cloak, venom, enchanted shield
-10 skinks
-1 cold one rider, standard, musician, huanchi
-1 chameleon LESS
-switch BBoC for sword of might on scar-vet
-with the 5 points leftover i bought a mundane shield for my scar-vet in case his SotMP got unmaked...

hope this makes for a solid list.

Or you could take two scroll caddies and end hs world. Your troops are better regardless of your characacter. But its up to you.
