Hello! Here is my list.

Lords:
Slann mage priest, lore of fire

Core: 28 Saurus Warriors, FC

12 skinks FC

Special: 8 cold one riders, FC

For a total of 998 points. I'm buying the Battalion Box and I got a slann from my game store. What do you think? I'm worried about being too lord heavy.

A slann in a 1000 pt game is a ballsy move that's a lot of points for a small game but it can work if you are magic dominant and should be. I would honestly ditch the champs in all your units and get wandering deliberations on the slann. Lots of low cost stuff and flaming magic missiles which tends to be the point of lore of fire and gives you more flexibility. Definitely put him with the skirmishers to make him harder to hit, and minimize miscasts. There shouldn't be too many since the lore attribute is about planning rather than throwing a bunch of dice.
