A movie can be crap without having DEI in it.

I don't plan to watch The Hunt for Gollum unless I hear rave reviews about it from reviewers I trust.

I like Gollum as a character both on literature and on screen, but "the hunt for Gollum" is not important enough for a movie after they needlessly padded The Hobbit out into a whole trilogy, I need to put on my skeptacles.

Agreed. But at least we are over the initial hurdle. We might trip over the later ones, but at least it has a chance of being good.
