Hahaha... I wouldn't get too excited. It would be better read as...

that pretty much nails it :p

My trusty laptop's motherboard is temperamental which is making typing hard.

If I didn't stop to edit every three words my typing looks like this. The "n" key, "b" key and "spacebar" are especially bad.

I visitedmy relatives over Thaksgiving ad visited the bbacon factory where my cousinn works.

My reviews are pending me setting up my new desktop, and I'm technologically challenged.

I'll take your silence as a confirmation of my theory.

As mentioned, my laptop's keyboard died on me, and I'm still setting up my new computer. I am a bit of a technological dumdum, so I'm still working on it. In the meantime, I attached an external keyboard to my laptop.

I did write the first Short and Scaly on the Streets, back in 2021...a matter of public record.

The odds of it not being me are low. The only people I can remember trying to write in someone else's sandbox was me and Bob, and Discomute.

I prefer the external keyboard. That's what I'm running despite my laptop keyboard being in perfect working order.

Yes, but as we all know, I would not be aware of such a fact.

Congrats on the dominant win. Of all the short story writers, I would have guessed you to have been the least likely to take advantage of the the Chaos Dwarf / Nightbringer boost. And Slaanesh too... well played!

Oops, I thought the poll was going to close later. I've admittedly been distracted by family drama, Scarterra stuff, a new RPG group, and family drama.

Story One "What Goes Around, Comes Around" by @Imrahil

Story Two: "Short and Scaly on the Streets Part IV, Cycles of Chaos" by Scalenex

Story Three: "Coin's Spin" by @J.Logan

Story Four: "A Friend in the Dark" by @thedarkfourth

So congratulations to me I guess.

I had the idea of using "cycles" for a motorcycle gang in the Short and Scaly on the Streets literary universe. I thought Orc motorcycle gang members would be a bit too on the nose, as much as I wanted to make jokes about red paint making them "go fasta". I ended up going with Chaos Dwarves as an add-on and I lazily never specified who or what "the villain" was because I couldn't make up my mind.

And who would have guessed that @Scalenex would make a Nightbringer inclusion in his story? How does it feel to have wielded such awesome power? To smite your enemies fellow competitors with such horrific ease.

Chaos Dwarves
That spelling was one of the key give aways as to your authorship of the story. I think you actually used both terms, "Chaos Dwarfs" and "Chaos Dwarves" in your story.

family drama.
shopping

Nothing too serious I hope.

I think it is about time that @Imrahil embrace the power of the Chaos Dwarf short story inclusion. You're one of the few remaining holdouts.

There is no escape from Chaos (Dwarfs). It marks us all.

You know... I am happy to keep it that way ;)

Unless the theme demands it

Grrr, !mrahil
Look at all the glory it has brought to those that had the courage to wield it. Why deny yourself? It's like pursuing a career in football but vowing to never shoot, pass or dribble with your dominant foot.

Good analogy, but flawed... Allow me to correct you:

It's like pursuing a career in football but vowing to never bribe the referee. :-P

Well if you want to be pedantic...
You mean like...

"Good analogy, but flawed... Allow me to correct you:"

We're just refining it now.

It's like like pursuing a career as an Olympic figure skater but vowing to never bribe a couple of judges. XD

Better?
It would be more like knowing that one judge is biased towards quadruple jumps but choosing never to incorporate a quad into your routine. Then seeing those that did win all the medals.

I could just put a quadruple jump in an over all bad routine just to make the judge lose credibility;)

Grrr, !mrahil
