What are you doing today hobbywise?

Oh it will, no doubt about that, particularly as I recently bought one of the Old World Gor boxes... but I'm in Armoured Clash mode at this point ;)
I look forward to it.

How many armies/teams/factions do you have across all miniature wargames?

Ooh, now there's a question. Hold on a sec...

Here's the Grand Total so far:
  • Warhammer Fantasy: Dwarfs, Greenskins, Lizardmen, High Elves, Skaven and Beastmen = 6
  • Warhammer 40,000: Tyranids, Orks, Chaos Space Marines, Dark Eldar, Necrons and a few Tactical Squads of Firstborn Space Marines = 6
  • Middle-Earth (with the ultimate intention of using my collection in War of the Ring rather than the Strategy Battle Game): Khazad-Dum Dwarves, some unmade Knights of Rivendell, Moria Goblins, 'Mordor' Orcs that can be used in a number of factions and Uruk-Hai = Technically 5
  • SPQR: Ancient Britons, Early Imperial Romans, and some unbuilt models planned for Ancient Greek and Slave Revolt armies = 4
  • Dark Ages (Haven't decided which games to dedicate my force to yet): Romano-British/Welsh (One army planned to be used in both Arthurian and 'Viking Age' periods as the same sort of ethnicity) = Technically 1
  • Star Wars - X-Wing: Rebel Alliance and Galactic Empire = 2
  • Star Trek - Attack Wing: One ship each from Federation and Klingons, 2 Romulan ships and 4 Dominion ships = 4
  • Armoured Clash: Crown and Enlightened = 2
Total = 30

That is an insane collection. I have no idea how you can keep track of so many rules in so many games across so many armies. As least you have plenty to keep you busy!

I guess that's okay for a noob.

....

Thank you. This actually makes me feel better.
AOS: Gloomspite (Troggoths AND Gitmob), Ironjaws, Skaven (4000+ points), Seraphon, Stormcast cavalry, Kharadron, Disciples, Blades = 8 (but I could split Skaven into 3 armies and Gloomspite into 2)
TOW/WFB: Beastmen, Orcs & Goblins, Renegade Crowns (2 different forces) = 4
40K: Orks, Grot Tanks, Hobgrot Scrappaz, Speed Freeks, Squigmob (technically these 5 are all one Ork army), Chaos Daemons, Astra Militarum (2 different armies), Agents of the Imperium = 5 to 9 depending on context

Total: 17. Rookie numbers compared to your, but I did sell off three factions recently.

I'm 56. Follow my example! :D

Today, I am cogitating.

If I wanted to create a sea-raider marauding force of Chaos Worshippers, what would be the best minis to use if I didn't want to spend a king's ransom on official Marauders (as nice as the new sculpts look to be)?

I've used Frostgrave barbarians, but I'm interested in variety... and while I have printed a Viking longship, I would rather not use actual Viking minis. I just find Vikings to be so utterly overdone in fiction (don't get me started on Space Wolves ¬_¬ ) - even if the Victrix Vikings are actually depicting them as they were, armoured and all, and not the stereotypical berserker appearance, the knowledge that they are Vikings may still annoy me.

Considering converting some Early Saxons for the task...
