Now i expect a full report :D

All in good time ;).

Across September and October, as well as a new Edition of the naval version of the game, Dystopian Wars, Armoured Clash has seen the arrival of the Latin Alliance, comprised of the united forces of the Catholic nations of France, Spain, Portugal, Italy and the SUSA (Socialist Union of South America)...

Finding a willing opponent is always the first step... and with that first hurdle overcome, I look forward to seeing which factions you both choose to command on the battlefields of the Dystopian Age! Links to the game's website (with the rules, ORBAT army lists etc) and the main Wayland store (though there are other stores that sell it of course... I'm sure there are some on the continent with more affordable shipping) are present in the first post of the thread for further reference.

By all means keep us posted here :)

Don't hold your breath... i don't know if he liked it enough to start another game (given the massive amount of unplayed ones we already have) :p

Then you must persuade him, persuade him to choose it over any of the unplayed ones you don't think you're inspired enough to play anymore...

As of course, if there are any you're really not going to play, might as well give them to someone who will and give this awesome game a home instead :D

The final faction for Armoured Clash has arrived - the Sultanate!

There's something for a lot of different audiences in this army - As well as Ottoman Turks and Arabic desert fighters, they have access to a sail barge Jabba the Hutt would be proud of, off-road desert vehicles that are almost a mish-mash of Mad Max and Indiana Jones tropes, elite infantry clad in robes and masks from King Baldwin IV's wardrobe, and Steampunk-ified equivalents of legendary formations from Antiquity:

Plus Egyptian hovercraft, for Tomb King fans...

... and portals, as the army is oriented around using these to deep strike up the enemy's backfield:

Her Majesty's forces are being mustered!

Thoroughly enjoying building my first Armoured Clash models... nicely-detailed, and with options to still try some fun little conversions, such as the Black Watch Assault Dragoon officer (second from left) and the Galahad Tank commander in the background.

And I have also nearly completed the third of my home-made scratch-built buildings for the board I shall field them on:

With all my buildings my intention has been to capture a dark, grimy Dickensian feel, as I absolutely believe Britain in the Dystopian Age would very much be a mixture of Dickens-esque poverty, grime and decrepitness, alongside advanced Steampunk tech and a lot of factories and terraces, particularly in the North where most of the manufacturing would take place. Usage of N-Gauge (which is the model railway terminology for 10mm) scratchbuilding parts and basing the model on N-Gauge structures in terms of size means it should fit nicely as quite a big terrain piece on the table, providing a lot of cover for models to hide behind and garrison:

Very cool. I especially like the custom building!

Great work! Love the building, you really captured the dark grimy look. And I am looking forward to your completed troops ;)

Grrr, !mrahil

If i'm allowed to derail a little the thread, i am going to toss a coin in favor of Konflikt 47.
I've always discarded it because i was convinced it was just WWII with a bland sci-fi flavor. I was wrong...

Yeees, I'd rather you didn't in my thread for the Dystopian Age... as a very different subject from Armoured Clash and Dystopian Wars, it certainly needs to go into its own thread ;).

That's because in its original version, it largely was just an alternative-history WWII with mechs and the like - it's only with the new version recently released by Warlord that they've wanted to broaden its horizons and make it much more its own thing. And it's hilarious how the Bolt Action playerbase have become divided by that choice in the spirit of any GW fandom.

I have to admit they've done a decent job with it so far (Warlord faction bias aside)... WWII as-is is overrated, and Bolt Action is horrendously overrated, so it's good that they've put some effort into fleshing out Konflikt '47 and making it more its own thing.
