Hmmm... I did not know that!I'm pretty sure it's been retconned, but Archaeon had to try twice before he succeeded

You know, I'm pretty sure it's been retconned, but Archaeon had to try twice before he succeeded... still a better record, but not a perfect streak.
I agree with everything but Grimgor walking away. He stomps the everchosen, and I like this, but then just walks away? I would prefer either he stomps and kills or never fights. Grimgor doesn't do things half way.To be honest, one just needs to retcon the End Times nonsense while keeping in the Storm of Chaos timeline... then we just have Archaon trying and failing twice - the second time down to Grimgor kicking him in the nuts and then leaving, which is easily the ending I like the most.
And it's still less of an abject catastrophe than Abaddon's thirteen attempts at mediocrity![]()

Avoid the End Times you say? Don't tease me! If they had given the Orcs a win that big I would have been a very happy man. Sadly we got a fun fight that ended well...until it ended with idiocy. I would also have liked Grom to not die if/when he broke from combat and be auto destroyed due to his banner but if wishes were models you could see my pile from orbit.Yeah, true enough... GW should have just been brave enough to kill off Archaon there and then, thereby removing the means for their successors in 2014-2015 to introduce the End Times in the first place. Especially as, in Editions prior to TOW, several playable special characters were from the past and had been canonically killed off but were still fieldable to give players a chance to rewrite history (Gorthor the Beastlord, Azhag the Slaughterer, Marius Leitdorf, Gorbad Ironclaw), GW would still have been able to sell Archaon models and present him as a playable character... just one who died in canon.

Failbaddon lol! I pinned mine so didn't have that issue.Agreed.
You mean Failbaddon, the Armless Wonder?
You need to look at this a little more like an orc.
1: Grimgor fought against one of Archaeon's Lieutenants, Crom, first. He fought Crom to a standstill, thoroughly enjoying himself, but his goblin minions legged it, causing the rest of his army to fail against Crom's minions. Crom basically laughed at Grimgor, telling him that in the grand scheme of things, he wasn't a threat.
2: Grimgor does NOT like being told that.
3: Basically, after restructuring his army, he went after Archaeon to prove that he was, indeed, a threat to be taken seriously.
4: Doing what he did do Archaeon, and then walking away? That was Grimgor's way of saying, "Now we're even, punk. Don't ever think that I'm not a threat. I'll see you for round three."
The is no escape from Chaos. It marks us all.Pretty sure she was saying CHAOS for real.![]()
