Also, I notice that skull is probably the first Beastman bit I've seen you add to your collection (from the Ungor kit as one of the banner tops)... I'm glad to see my cloven influence and chanting to Morrsleib around my Herdstone are working

A quick update on... as you guessed it, my Bale Taurus! Basing complete. Assembling complete (for now); I think it best to paint the wings and the Sorcerer-Prophet separately. I haven't decided if I'm going to add/include the little caged guys (not pictured) since the attachment point is extremely tiny and it will always be at risk of snapping off. I've also decided to forgo the additional headdress ornamentation (also not pictured) on the sorcerer-prophet, since I don't really like the look of it.

yep, I've made similar sacrifices with big models. Some things aren't worth it

I really like the miniature too (I didn't like assembling it though... classic Forge World issues). Now that its (mainly) assembled, it's a beauty. One of several potential centerpiece models in my Chaos Dwarf collection.

Yeah, I'll have to wait and see, but it might very well be left off and will still look great in my opinion.

Now I just need to settle on my colour scheme for the Bale Taurus itself. I have a couple of potential candidates rattling around in my head.
