Epic movie!

Epic movie!

Funnily enough I originally used to like the film version of Asterix and Cleopatra to be the best of the animated Asterixes, but in more recent times I have come to appreciate Twelve Tasks a lot more... there's just something about it that sets it apart from all the others. Though Asterix has always had its own brand of comedy, the satirical jokes and the surreal aspects of Twelve Tasks are just nothing like we have seen before or since in it. Probably the closest equivalent thing we have here in the UK is One Foot in the Grave, a TV comedy I also love.

Not to mention that this was the first Asterix story to be made as a film first rather than a comic, and the only one of those to have received the creators' personal touch... it makes you wonder what other great ones Rene and Albert could have come up with at their fledgeling Idefix Studios, had they got chance to have another crack of the whip.

Totally agree with all of this.

Grrr, !mrahil

I loved the javelin thrower, because of how his body was so muscled on one side and then skinny on the other. Ha ha.

Ah yes, Verses the Persian. Capable of throwing a javelin all the way across the Atlantic to North America, and starting a war between Native tribes in the process :D.

Shame he was pitted against Obelix who can throw a javelin at least once right around the globe with just 1% of his power :p

Thanks guys!

Come on @Killer Angel ... you should be defending your silver. Let's not be giving it up so easily to the "new" guy. You are a proud Tomb King; you are eternal.
He is still well ahead and I bow down to his splendor. I'm just posting stuff and having fun.

Well done my friend, i see you will soon be able to catch me ;)

Two seemingly unwilling combatants. One refuses to defend his position and the other seems unmotivated to capture it. The return of my Chaos Dwarf brother, @Lizards of Renown , is direly needed. Then the brothers of Hashut will rule the top two positions of the podium. The glory of the Father of Darkness will be eternal.

There is no escape from Chaos. It marks us all.
