Blog Sleepy corner

Taunar Guns are printed! They are not completely 1:1, but close enough to be used. If I did that again, I would probably print them at 97% scale, but top shaft will fit into shoulder hole after some light sanding and length reduction.

And also, it is about half of the weight, so Magnetising will be easier.

Darker one is that printed one.

That's a really nice conversion. :)

Ok, that looks gross as hell. Amazing work!

Thank you both. :)

Today I was in modeller's club again. Huge update on Taunar! With replacement 3D printed parts (Hand guns and underslung burst cannons) I was able to dryfit whole assembly for the first time!

But I'll need some counterweight in front as I put him way back on base and those shoulder cannons are back heavy.

I spent rest of the time basing those Nids, because plans changed and owner will use round bases after all.

I also received two packages today!
First was whole only opened MESBG Battle of Osgiliath box I managed to find second hand and second was selection of Quar Fidwog units.

First 9 Rangers this month. This time 2 LMG teams, Flamer team and Medic team (decals pending) :D

Darn photos show mold lines I must have missed and never noticed.

I started painting my Coftyr patrol, currently at about 3/4 done.
Then better half had wonderful idea to make some plaster bunnies and I ended up making batch for whole kindergarden class :D :D

And now when kiddo is finally asleep, I am cleaning those plastic fidwog. One tractor glued and ready for small modifications (rivets are bad), bodies, heads and backpacks are ready. Hands and weapons are forgotten in the office.

You know what you need to do now mate... another size comparison! :D

I'd love to see a shot with a plastic Fidwog, one of the 'normal size' plastic Quar from your Coftyr unit, a Skink, a human and anything else you fancy, to really get a good idea of how these little chaps measure up against other species and races in the height department. And perhaps one of the Fidwog tractors too... I'm interested to know if they could work as little Steampunk light tanks for humans, or if they're purely and unshakeably built for use by midget Quar.

I still don´t have single Fidwod fully assembled :D All the bodies are glued, but I left hands on sprue (which I then forgot at the office). And as bonus, I sanded off those little oval bases that are pat of model on Crusaders and Coftyrs alike, so I have to do the same with Fidwogs, so they are not prepared for comparision yet :)

Xenos Collective Stormwell is assembled, dry fitted and ready for some more love!

That thing is huge! (Well, it should be as it is second biggest machne Tau have, but it is still a sight to look at) Painting will be done in 11 subassemblies. Oh and I still have to put pins to shoulder weapons.
